When the Hogwarts express arrived at the castle, Ron had dropped Scabbers and he was running around the compartment, wild.
"Catch that darn rat!" Hermoine kept yelling, and she ran out of the compartment with books in hand, obviously not waiting for us. God forbid.
"Hurry up and catch him, Ron, or we'll be late!" I said, bending down and attempting to catch the darn thing myself.
I watched as Ron got a hold of the nearly-bald, disgusting, old rat, and shoved it in his robe pocket.
We both hurried out of our compartment and out of the train, just in time to see Hagrid leading the 'firs yers' on their first magical journey across the lake to the Hogwarts Castle.
He noticed me and yelled my name, waving his hand the size of a small Boulder. I waved back, and headed along with my group of fourth years.
"I already have all of my classes picked out. How about you two?" Hermione asked, scaring us both, making us jump, not aware that she was near us at all, since she ran out on the train.
"Bloody hell!" Ron yelled, "I forgot we got to choose our classes again this year!"
"Ronald Weasley! I cannot believe you! You better make something up fast!" Hermione yelled, and with that, she handed him a list of classes and a chart to fill out from her bag. Of course she was prepared.
"What the hell am I supposed to do with this chart?" Ron stopped abruptedly, looking over the chart. Scabbers took the chance and jumped out of his robe pocket and made his way up Professor Lupin's pants, just a couple students in front of us.
He held up the disgcusting rat, and examined it, looking around for the owner, then finally yelled, "RONALD WEASLEY! IS THIS YOUR RAT?" Lupin stomped towards us, holding Scabbers tightly in his right first.
"Yes, Sir. I'm very sorry about that. He jumped out of my robe pocket." Ron explained, not trying to cause a scene.
"Don't let it happen again, Weasley" Lupin said, and stomped his way back to the front.
"Bloody hell, Scabbers! What were you thinking?" Ron yelled at his robe pocket where he had returned the rat.
All he got in return was frantic squeaking.
With a sigh, Hermione turned her head towards me. "What about you, Harry? Have your classes picked out?"
"Yes. A bit. I haven't worried about it much over the summer. More worried about how the Dursleys would kill me if they found me doing my Hogwarts homework under my bed with a flashlight." I said.
"Oh, Harry, that's horrible! You really need to come stay with us this summer. I'm sure the rest of the Weasleys would be grateful to have you with us." Ron said with a smile.
"I wish. But do you remember when you called me last summer and Uncle Vernon yelled at me? I'm sure you could hear him through the phone." I asked, turning my attention back to the front, trying not to step on any students in front of me.
"I sure could. Maybe you could just come straight home from Hogwarts with us! The Dursleys would never have to know! Imagine their faces when their Harry Potter doesn't come back to them!" Ron exclaimed, moving closer towards Harry, excluding Hermoine, who was now examining her list of classes, yet again.
"They'd love that." I added.
I was too busy thinking about what my summer would be like with the Weasleys. Fred, George, Percy, Mrs. Weasley, Mr. Weasley, Ginny, and Ron! Maybe we could even go see he national Qudditch match-
My thoughts were interrupted when I bumped into the back of a slick cloak.
"Again, Potter? Didn't I tell you to watch where you were going?"
I knew that voice better than Ron's. Draco Malfoy.
"How about you walk a little faster, Malfoy?" I snapped.
Draco stopped, and looked me up and down, then hurried up to Goyle and Crabbe with a dirty look towards me.
"What was THAT about, Harry? He was totally checking you out." Hermoine joked.
"I-I don't know" the words came out of my mouth slowly. WAS Draco-I mean, Malfoy- checking me out? I laughed along awkwardly, trying not to think about it too much.
