"R-Ron, i...I" I tried to find my words, my face heating with embarrassment and worry.
"Save it, Harry. Geez, why couldn't you have just TOLD ME? It's not like I should hate you for loving who you love. I don't blame you. People should be happy" he said, and smiled at me.
My heart pounded. Who knew Ron would be so happy for me?
"Thank you, Ron. I was afraid I would loose you, as my best friend" and I hugged him. It wasn't awkward. (Author slowly, awkwardly laughs... I lie) Ron patted me on the back, not sure what to do.
"So, you like Malfoy, huh?"
I blushed at the thought. "I guess?" I let out a small laugh.
"He's not too bad looking, if I do say so myself."
"You mean it?"
"Of course. Who wouldn't love those baby blue eyes?"
"You're kidding." I said, then we both started laughing.
"Of course I'm kidding. But he really isn't bad looking. I'm sure he has a soft side, especially for you, Harry."
It felt good to be able to talk to Ron about us, Draco and I, without being judged.
"I talked to Hermione. Her and Neville are together." I said, changing he subject.
"I walked in on the moment." He said, looking down at his socks, his mood suddenly dropped.
"They continued after you left. It was a gross sight to see. They were so caught up in it that they didn't even know I was there." I hoped to cheer Ron up with that thought.
"If only it could have been me," Ron said, obviously day dreaming.
"You really like Hermione, huh?"
"Yeah. But she seems to really love Neville."
"She does love Neville, a lot. And he loves her back. But like you said, people should be able to be with who they love."
"That's true, I guess I'm happy for them. As long as she's happy. But if that Longbottom goes breaking her heart, I'll break his face. Mark my words." He said, then we both laughed.
"Let's get to bed. It's already 9, and we have early classes tomorrow, remmeber?"
"Oh yeah, and oh-Bloody hell! Where's Scabbers?" Ron got up and ran down the stairs, frantically searching for his disgusting old rat.
"Are you sure you didn't leave him upstairs?"
"I'm sure. I remember sitting him in the bathroom from when I came through the portrait hole... And walked in on.. THAT" he said, referring to me and Hermione. Ron pushed open the portrait hole, and I grabbed his arm, waving the invisibility cloak clearly above his head, smiling.

Author's note : I really love Ron. Most of the fanfics, he's homophobic, but I think Ron would have really accepted Harry for who he was, regardless who he spent his life with.
