We just got home after our vacation and we're both exhausted from the flight.
"Do you want something" she asks as she opens our cabinet full of snacks
"No im good. You're going to work tomorrow right?"
"Yeah why?"
"I'll drive you there"
"I can drive myself to the hospital, Kai"
"I dont care. I'll drive you there" I say one more time as she sit on the bed with chips on her hand
"All right, fine"
She turns the tv on and watches rupaul's drag race
"Why do you keep rewatching season 9? Im literally so close into memorizing all their fights"
"It's the best season."
"Whatever"

Amelia's pov
I woke up with Kai beside me. They literally slept earlier than me yet I still woke up first
I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and as I got out the bathroom, Kai is awake already fixing their hair
Why is everything they do hot?
"Morning. you said you're dropping me off but Im hoping to be early today so I'd appreciate if we move a little faster" I say
"Why are you going early?"
"I need to discuss an operation to my patient"
"Or maybe you just wanna see Link" They said in a quiet voice but enough for me to hear. They walked into the bathroom but I stopped them
"Hold on, I heard you. Why are you so worried about Link seeing me or me seeing him?"
"Nothing." They say as they tried to escape me
"No no no. I know you, Kai (middle name) Bartley. What's your problem?"
"Ugh. Im just...unsure if im ok knowing that Link will be spending his whole day with you"
"That's not technically gonna happen. we're not gonna see each other all the time. But I can avoid him if that's what you want"
"Noo I mean you guys are co-worker. It's fine"
"What do you really want me to do?"
They sigh before answering "avoid him"
"All right. whatever makes you sleep at night"
Kai's pov
I've dropped Amelia off the hospital and im now at my own work.
"What's with the face, Bartley?" Tom asks
"Nothing" I said while examining the new product we're planning to launch.
"I dont believe you"
"Im not asking you to"
"You're so stubborn, aren't you?" I just chuckle from his statement
"Come on, what is it?"
"You're not gonna stop, are you?" He sits and smile being ready to listen
"So like you know Link? My brother and Amelia's ex? He works at the same hospital as Amelia now and I honestly dont know what im feeling"
"Jealousy? Madness? Worried? Insecure?"
"Shut up Tom" I say rolling my eyes
"Why dont you just get the mindset that Amelia would never do that to you and you have nothing to worry about?"
"I trust Amelia but I dont trust Him. Im already...Worried that they'll see each other but the idea of them working or talking to each other makes it even worse"
"Didn't you say Link is now in a relationship? Then you have nothing to worry about"
"Yeah you're right. He's very loyal when it comes to his girlfriend"
"See? So just calm yourself down."
"Hi Kai" A gir named Stacy interupted
"Uhm hi" I say
"I like your outfit"
"We're wearing the same uniform" I say as Tom chuckle
"Uh heh. I bet we'd both look better without them" The girl said hesitant
"Uh huh whatever"
"Meet me at the stock room" She says with a wink and walked away but I stopped her
"Don't wait at the stock room cause I wont go"
"Why not? Is it not comfy there?"
"No. It's because im not interesed."
"Why? everyone here in this office wants to fuck me. You're missing out, Bartley"
"Im not interested in cheating to my girlfriend"
"Come on let me change your mind" She says holding my cheeks but I pulled away.
"Just ask someone else cause Im really not interested"
"Im available" Tom interupts
"Nevermind" Stacy says and walked away as we both laughed
I was picking my stuff and putting it in my bag as my phone chimes
Text pov
A:Daddy pick me up im scared😭
K:What happened?
A:Nothing. Maggies is just chasing me like a monster lmao
K:I thought Link did something to you
A:Will you just please get Link get out of your mind? Now seriously pls pick me up.
K:aight im on my way.
I picked amelia up and drove on our way home.
--at home--
"How's work" I say
"Same day I guess"
"Ohh. uh did you saw him?" I say
"Yeah he hasn't really changed"
"Is that a good thing or a bad thing?"
"I dont know"
"Did he talk to you?"
"Yeah he was shocked that we work at the same hospital"
"Was he flirting or something?"
Amelia stopped for a second and looked at me "Oh my God my baby is jealous!"
"Me? Jealous?"
"Yeah. Its too obvi babe"
"No im not let's just...i dont know sleep?"
"Babe you have no reason to be jealous. Im over him, he's over me. im taken, he's taken. all right? I would never do that to you. I love you" I hugged her and kissed her on her head
She started kissing me but I pulled away cause I dont wanna go too far right now because im tired
"Let's sleep now" I say
"I want more" I chuckled and looked at her
"Aren't you tired?"
"Im never tired when there's a sex with you afterwards"
I kissed her down to her neck and pushed her on the bed.
"Daddy's in charge today"
"You always are"
"That sounds to me like a complain" I say with a seductive look and voice
"Of course not daddy" She says with a slight moan as I kept kissing her
"Good slut"

I guess I really dont have a reason to be jealous.
