Twisted change of a War

 Jeremy’s Pov

We awoke everyone ready for battle, the Umpire not far, but I sensed something not right. I couldn’t quite put my finger on it, but I had a bad feeling about this fight. We were trying to protect Audree, but here she was ready to fight for herself.

Soon enough the umpire arrived, but with no backup, there were in total three vampires. I recognised the one Eric, he was the one who wanted Audree to be killed once she knew about our existence. Everyone was for battle on our side and no sign of attack from their side. It was so completely odd it caught us off guard. Tyler and I stared at one another in shock, we definitely were not expecting this.

The tall Light vampire stepped forward, “I see you ready to attack, to who do I owe the pleasure” he stated with a smirk on his face. “All of us!” screamed Dylan. The man just stared at him, before he spoke again. “There’s no need for war, if you can give us your word that she will keep her mouth shut about our kind we can live in peace, I’m being quite reasonable here don’t you think?”

What changed your mind? I asked.“ Well currently we have a bigger issue to deal with than her, she is one of the lucky ones. So stop with the questions and take the offer” stated the vampire. “How do we know that you won’t hunt her down once your issues are resolved? Tyler asked. “I guess you don’t, you just going to have to trust us” said the vampire. In my experience, never trust a vampire, especially the evil ones. I would know, we lie and hide things.

The three vampires turned around and in less than a second they were out of sight. It was the most embarrassing thing ever. We came so far in well attempting to take down the umpire, and I’m positive we would’ve succeeded too. All our gathered help went home disappointed while Tyler, me, Dylan and his sister tried to figure out why we just cancelled a war.

“Guys, I’m not sure what’s going on but we need to find out the issue that’s got the umpire so on edge that they left not one but three humans with the knowledge of vampires.” I can’t believe I’m saying this again but I Agree with Jeremy, this may be help for us or a threat. Either way we need to find out” said Tyler.

“Wait guys the umpire just let me go, why on earth do you want to still be in the middle of things we can go” Said Audree. “This is bigger than all of us now, it affects the whole supernatural community, there could be a worse threat out there and I’m going to fight” Said Tyler. I agreed with him and so did Dylan and Isabelle.  “Well then lets save the Community, since we all hero’s now” stated Audree very sarcastically.

My mind still wondered what would happen when all of this was over. Would Audree make her choice? Or would she run again. Well too early to ask that question now. So finding out what threat was out there that got the umpire running scared was a must find.
