Why my brother?: Chapter 8

Jeremy's pov

What the hell was my brother doing with Audree? I couldn't get over the fact that he could have her, of all the people in the world why did it have to be my sane brother. I didn't even want to call him that because I hated him so much, with every fibre of my being. He thinks he can get away with taking Audree, my Audree who I was still completely I love with. I don't think she understood what I meant when I said that. I know I kept a huge secret from her and that I tried to force her to turn but she was so damn stubborn. One of the reasons I fell for her in the first place. But it would have gotten her no where with the umpire. If they wanted something they would always get it. So when I heard that they wanted her dead I searched out to find her. But the closer I got to her the more she ran, she was fast and no one can escape me that easily, I am a vampire after all. But since she knew me really well, and she knew what my weaknesses were she could.

I remember when I was in the boathouse, when Audree was still near me. I was planning a way for the umpire to forget about her. I was planning on forcing her to turn into one of us in order to protect her. That was all that I was trying to do. But she ran , I think that she had the wrong idea of what I wanted for her. All I wanted was for her to be safe even if that meant taking her by force. But when I Ireally wanted to do that she had already escaped. Two of the guys in my coven tried to stop her but she still got away in the end. I tracked her for months but I couldn't get hold of her she was too fast and a quick thinker. The last time I saw her we were in a fight. We had a huge argument about how she had a choice when it came to her turning and why I lied to her. I was furious, she was just so stubborn! I snapped on her. Enough to make her think that I wanted her dead. That was how mad I was at the time. But I regret that now, if it wasn't for me she would never have met my brother. I bet he told her about how special he is. But I didn't care I just needed to find Audree and make her see reason. I needed to warn her that it was the umpire that was after her and wanted her dead and not me.
