Chapter 1: The escape

He was chasing me, and fast. I had to get out of here or I'd be dead in the next few minutes. My ex-boyfriend Jeremy, had seemed to keep a pretty big secret when we were dating. The fact that he was no ordinary human.

He was a freaken vampire for god's sake! and now he was after me. I couldn't believe I was being chased or rather hunted down by vampires and a whole clan too. Who was I kidding , I would never make it out of here alive. There was no one to protect me but me.

It was dark and all I had were a flash light, a messed up cell phone and a small dagger that my father gave me for protection.
I guess now was the perfect time to use it. As I ran I was attacked by two vampires. They started surrounding me and I had no plan. They tried to grab me but , due to one of my skills in karate I managed to slip beneath them and run further.

I kicked the dark haired vampire known as Henry in the stomach and he fell to the ground. Then I twisted around and aimed my dagger at the one behind me like he was a dart board, then went towards him as he fell and pulled the dagger out of his chest.

I knew he would soon heal so I ran while I could. My clothes were all leather black. Most of it well, tore while I was fighting for my life, literally. At the back of the boathouse my ex-boyfriend was with the rest of his cove planning to kill me.

I sneaked pass the guards with my hand over my mouth trying to keep my heart beat as calm as possible to avoid them. Vampires, obviously had the ability to sense nearby humans but only if your heart beat was loud enough for them to hear.

I got closer to an exit and went beneath the high silver gates. Silver was the one thing that slowed vampires down. If I went this way they would not be able to find me for a while. I barely made it out of there alive. If anyone saw me I would be dead right now.

I had to think of a place to go, home wasn't safe at the moment there were people after me, or should I say vampires. So I had to think of plan B, which I had no idea what it was yet. My heart started racing as I ran as far as I could from the boathouse.

Where could I go from here I thought my heart started beating really loudly. I couldn't think , I couldn't feel my upper body and my legs felt like it was about to give up. Then I fell down in the middle of nowhere. It was too dark for me to see where I was , but I was sure that it was far enough from that creep ex of mine. So I stayed on the ground, felt a bit faint and I blanked out.

Kidnapped: Chapter 2

I awoke in a basement-like place that seemed underground but I wasn't sure. My eyes were still blurry and I couldn't really see anything.

As I observed the strange place I was in with my blurry vision I realised that I may have been kidnapped by Jeremy. That evil ex of mine who now wanted me dead because of what I knew. Well he didn't really make the decisions the umpire did.

The rule was that if any human knew something they shouldn't that could put their kind in danger should be killed. But Jeremy gave me an option. For me to turn or to erase my memory neither, of which I was a fan of. I promised him that I wouldn't say anything but he insisted those options. When I refused him for the second time he was furious , and that was when I decided to run.

If I didn't the umpire would send people after me or Jeremy would take the matter into his own hands which he now did. I have been running for almost two years now without getting caught but, this time I wasn't so lucky.

At the moment I was locked inside a basement of which I had no aspect or memory of how I got there. While I was sitting there in a daze I noticed my arms strapped around the back of a chair and my legs tied to the legs of the chair.
A light from the top stairs shone through the door and someone was standing there. "Are you ok" a strange unfimiliar voice asked.
"Ok!" I screamed at the tall dark figure standing at the door. "You lock me up in a basement with my arms and legs tied for who knows how long and ask me if I'm ok?" You are a freak! How can I be Ok I could've gone blind sitting in the dark for so long.

"You've only been here for about two hours now" the voice told me. Why did you kidnap me then? I asked feeling embarrassed about screaming at him for no reason. He came down the stairs and as he got closer I started to see the image of a young man about my age, with honey blonde hair dark brown eyes and the perfect face. A face that one would see on a prince. "I did no such thing" he said interrupting my thoughts on admiring his looks. "I found you lying in the middle of the forest while hunting and thought it would be a generous idea to bring you in it was pretty cold out there.

The reason your hands are tied are because when I found you , you had all sorts of weapons on you so I assumed you're a criminal" he said. Well now that you know I'm not untie me! I demanded. He untied me with a smile.
So who are you, and what were you doing all by yourself in the cold?" He asked politely. I'm Audree I'm 18, just finished school, and now I'm running from some very bad people who are trying to kill me. "Wow really? Oh so that was what all those weapons were for" he said surprisingly. Yeah , so now your turn, who are you? I asked. "Well I'm Tyler I'm 19, finished school about a year ago and I well, lets just say 'm a hunter. I hunt things that you would never believe exist if I told you." Ha! Try me I insisted. "Ok then I hunt vampires it's kind of a hobby of mine." OMG! This is so great I exclaimed. "Wait you not surprised?" Hell no! As a matter of fact my ex-boyfriend is a vampire and is currently trying to kill me because I know things I shouldn't.

When I woke up in your basement I thought he got me for good this time. Thank god it was a you no offense , I mean it in a good way. "Well looks like we on the same side here." Yeah we are. So you mind if I hang here for a while I kind of have nowhere else to go ,since I'm on the whole run for your life experience. "Sure I wouldn't mind some company, that is if you don't mind?" he said with a smile. Of coz not I replied returning the smile shyly. Tyler and I spoke for a long while about the super natural world. Turns out we had a lot in common.
