Because of this they have a neutral attitude towards hope and despair
He knows his darling doesn't see things one way or another until all the facts are there.
It truly warms his heart to see the work that they do. Keeping things true and fair.
Now if things were set in the killing whenever he would get into one of his rants, he would try to pull them into it.
It does frustrate him a bit when they stay neutral between the two.
He does want them to somewhat agree with him or at least understand but they just stay out of it.
Still, he tries and although it may slow down over time it won't ever go completely away.
Besides that, it does fascinate him, showing how they work.
This makes him point out the hope and despair that plays a part in it.
What his darling does next could change someone's life forever, good or bad.
Although his darling being neutral to hope and despair does frustrate him at times, he still admires what his darling does.
