Tug of war
Now it's not to say a sort of 'tug of war' happens all the time but most of the time.
Both are highly protective of their darling while getting jealous easily.
So, they won't let anyone near their darling with or without them actually around them.
They are soft but strict with their darling so as long as they act good it won't be too bad. (Although they do have to deal with their smothering.)
There are times when they do actually act like a team and that's usually when someone new has come into the picture or is getting too close to the truth.
Both don't fall for tricks easily even if it was something meant to put them against each other.
Oddly enough even with all of their bickering their darling can't turn them against each other. Now they will act like it's working until the last minute just to mess with their darling.
In the end they are definitely on the more dangerous side but can also be the sweetest. They use intimidation and threats to get others to stay away. There won't be only to help their darling with those two around.
