He is always showering his darling in praise whether they want to hear it or not.
Now if his darling were to deflect a compliment, he would just a sweet one or act like they hadn't.
If his darling were to return his compliments he would be over the moon.
If his darling deflects his words often then he will start to wonder why they do this.
Sure, he will start to say them more often but if nothing changes then he will have a talk with his darling.
He's not too sure why they don't take compliments no matter how they explain it.
He just doesn't see any fault in his darling.
But he will calm down with them if he sees they only put his darling in distress.
