Authors note:
This takes place instead of 2x15, if it wasn't the twins' birthday. So basically, Josie's still dark. And it is in that time period, just tweaking the events of canon a bit to fit the hosie agenda (lol)! Enjoy :)Dark Josie aimlessly wanders around Mystic Falls looking for trouble, and trouble is what she gets. In a manner of speaking...
Josie's walking down the streets of Mystic Falls. She sips away at her milkshake, enjoying the creamy vanilla flavor as it explodes in her mouth. Josie feels carefree like nothing could bother her. She wishes she'd done this sooner, dabbled in some dark magic. Not only has it brought out her stronger side, but she doesn't care about anything. Perhaps this is what it is like for vampires who turn off their humanity, only maybe a bit more extreme.
Out of nowhere, a force is pulling at her. She feels her feet moving, away from the busy street and towards a dark, empty alleyway. Someone is trying to get her attention, and, well, it's working.
Josie's curious.
She could stop this, a simple spell to reverse the effects, but then she'd never know who is pulling the strings, so to say.
Her body keeps moving on its own until eventually, she comes to a stop in a narrow alleyway. There's still nobody around, that is until something steps out of the shadows. Or rather someone - Hope. Hope Mikaelson. The one and only.
Josie shouldn't be surprised. If she'd taken the time to guess, it would've been her or Lizzie, or perhaps even one of weak Josie's other friends. All of whom are desperate, would do just be about anything to get the 'real' her back. She wonders what it would take to get them to realize that the old her is gone and that this is who she is.
Maybe a few spells. Or maybe something more drastic.
"Hope Mikaelson. Come to find me all alone?" Hope just stares at her with a firm look. "How incredibly stupid."
While forming a plan in her head, Josie takes one final sip of her milkshake before tossing it to the ground. Not that she thinks Hope will have much luck in getting through to her, as they'd say, but she is interested in how Hope intends to attempt it.This will be fun, she thinks.
"You forget that I'm the tribrid. I could easily take you without a problem." Hope states, trying her best to sound confident. She shrugs her shoulders, but it does nothing to hide her true feelings.
Josie knows better than to believe the act. Sure, she may not be able to hear spikes in heartbeats or sense a rise in body temperature, but she can see the hitch in Hope's breath as her shoulders come up, as her chest pauses. The little shake in her voice, the slight stutters before words. That's fear. She can sense it in Hope's movements, or lack of.
One of the perks of having the thoughts and memories of the "weaker" version of herself is that she knows Hope too. All of her strengths, her weaknesses, but more importantly, she knows how to read her. Josie knows how to read the emotions written in ink across Hope's face, invisible to those who don't share the same connection as the two of them do, or did.
"Yeah, but you won't." Josie chuckles. If Hope really wanted to do that, then she would've done it already. If not now then six months, a year, two years ago.
"How do you know?" Hope questions, still not daring to move. And Josie likes it that way. It makes it feel as though she has all of the power. She can move around, like a predator stalking its prey, waiting and waiting for that final attack. And that is what Josie is doing - waiting. She's waiting for that moment to do something drastic, something that will turn anyone from ever thinking she could be saved.
"Because you care about me, or weak Josie, for some reason." Josie rolls her eyes. She'll never get it. Now, she's far more powerful. She's stronger. What's not to love about this Josie? What is it that still has people preferring the old her?
