Chapter 14: Stupidity At Its Finest

Thana was currently passed out on a thick branch while a battle was taking place beneath the tree she was in. Let's see what happened that caused such a scene.

Flashback~

She had come across another demon on one of her nightly walk. She had left the Stone Pillar's estate awhile ago with some cookies as a snack while he was busy with his missions.

Though it didn't notice her at first, it certainly noticed the punch it got to to face with a shadow covered fist .

Her eyes were bright with determination as she stared at her current victim, which was a male demon though what made this one weird was that in its eye was 'Lower 3'. And right now those eyes were glaring at her, its face had crosses on his forehead and cheeks. His bulging eyes narrowing at her as he quickly got up"You...." they widened in recognition " You're the one that master wants ...if I bring you to him...I'll be rewarded " a shaky smile appears as he pushes off the ground disappearing from her sight.

She went still before swinging her hand to the side quickly slamming the demon into a tree as she kept her face blank. She was going to be serious for this...one false move would prove to be fatal.

Her eyes flicker around using his shadow to predict his movement as she continuously defends or slaps him away.

She breathes out as a grin slowly appears with her eyes brightening as she started to gain more confidence, hearing the frustrated cries of the demon " Take that you whiney b*tch." She giggles shaking as she starts to become excited.

Then....boom . She blinks slowly as her arm went limp, looking broken as she quickly turns using her other arm to hit the demon only to be backhanded .

"N..not so cocky now " the demon grins, breathing out harshly as his wounds were healed. He walked over to where the female landed .

He quickly bounced off the ground to the side as he stares at the area he was before with his body quivering as he had avoided getting attacked by a certain male with black hair and blank dark blue eyes.

The newcomer disappeared once again as he attacked the demon with several consecutive slashes "Fourth form: Striking tide" . he mumbles softly as he continues his attack with the demon who was evading them trying to survive as fear had struck the demon, deeply.

Thana on the other hand groans softly getting up as she looked at the scene in surprise before gritting her teeth, quickly getting up as she slams her foot down causing the demon's legs to get stuck in place by his shadow.

The demon quickly pulled his feet away, losing one as he concentrated on her. He disappears and slams his leg into her side, sending her through the air with a muffled gasp leaving her mouth .

And that is how she ended up in a tree.

In the end when she woke up she found herself on the male's shoulder while he was walking. The fight had ended when the demon ran away once it understood there was no way of winning. And it nearly became a game of Capture the flag with Thana as the flag.

She blinks slowly tilting her head to around as she wiggles in his grip " Thanks for the ride but can you put me down now ...please " she mumbled as her body was aching a bit especially her side.

The male paused for a moment before shifting her off as he remained quiet before finally speaking up " ...it was foolish of you to fight against a lower moon demon ...number 3 even ...that could have been the end for you if I wasn't around."

" Yes yes I know...I'm reckless " she huffs rubbing her side ."But thank you for saving me....Tomoika-san" she smiled a little before looking down with a sigh " I thought I could have handled it."
