Chapter 17: Home Again?

Thana's eyes snapped open after a moment, her heartbeat accelerating as she sat up quickly looking around only to find herself in a familiar setting.

Her head swivelled around in confusion at the sight of her small room as she carefully moved to get out of bed, her hand lightly touching her forehead as she frowned at the strange dream she just had. She lightly chuckled shaking her head.

"Mm well that is a great idea for a manga, a world filled with demons..imagine that." She mumbles before getting ready for the day, though she felt prickles on her skin as though warning her that something wasn't right. Though she just thought it was the fact she hadn't eaten yet.

Small scrambling was heard followed by a bark as a little black form slid into her room, making her jump only to laugh at the sight of her corgi."Oh my baby, I missed you so much." She crouches picking up the small dog as it attacked her face with kisses while she makes her way out into the rest of her apartment."Who's my good little potato, you are, yes you are."She cooed using her baby voice to talk to the dog."Yes that's my Xavy."

For the rest of the morning, she just chilled in front of the TV before deciding to leave the house to walk her dog. She looked at her phone, about to turn it on only to pause at the sight of the panicked and annoyed picture of her face on the dark screen, which disappeared as soon as it lit up, she taps her face in confusion only to get distracted by the message that popped on her phone, coming from: Hobo Head, causing her eyes to light up as she squirms around in her spot."Ah you see Xavy, he loves the hell out of me."She points at the dog with a smug expression as it blinked with it's tail wagging.

She huffs softly as she rubs the dog's head."Nothing up there, just space and love." She chuckles before checking the chat as she drops back on the couch.

Hobo Head: Aren't you supposed to be at the mall yet, you're supposed to be distracting Nemuri and be her best 'gal'..

She snickers softly as she shakes her head, before walking to her door while her dog trotted to her obediently, she grabbed a leash and put it on his bowtie collar."There's my handsome boy, let's go before grumpy cat hangs me upside down from a building..again."
The moment she left her appartement her eyes went wide at the white space only to blink as it was replaced by the hallway."...the hell was that.." She shook her head before quickly making her way out to the hall with her dog trotting beside her.

Elsewhere in her subconcious:

A young boy was wandering around the city with a frightful gaze, this wasn't what he expected and he can feel his panic grow at the sight of all the odd people and monsters walking around in the busy street.

He obviously didn't belong, with his old dark green yukata and lack of accessories like other kids. His brown eyes scanned the area before quiclkly making his way to an alleyway while gasping for air to try calming himself."Wh..what the hell is this place ?"He whispers softly before shaking his head, he has to concentrate on his task, this person was probably insane.

He walked around before readying his pin as he stabbed into a spot in the air and dragged it down cutting a hole in the space in front of him. He walks in only to feel a chill go down his spine at the sight of the location he was in.
