Six years later the madrigal family had come to terms with Mirabel's disappearance. About 4 years after she disappeared they had discovered Bruno. He was accepted back into the family and a few people used Bruno's appearance as an excuse to not think about Mirabel. Bruno changed a lot of things. For one he didn't let the family ignore Mirabel or forget her or refuse to think about her. Bruno hardly interacted with her but even without his gift he already knew she would come back so he wouldn't let the family forget her. Until then it was up to Mirabel to come back on her own. During that time Isabella still married Mariano and they had 2 kids, Ken the oldest and Bell the youngest. Dolores still liked Mariano but knew the family would be broken more if anyone knew so she kept quiet. A year or so after Isabella and Mariano got married, Dolores found a love interest. His name was Fern. The same year Ken was born, Dolores and Fern got married. They had no kids yet but were planning for the future. One Sunday Ken asks his mom if he can take Bell into the village to play with other kids. Isabella allows them but reminds Ken to return home by sunset. Ken hums im agreement and walks Bell out side. "Ok bell, I know I said we were going to the village but how about we go somewhere more fun?" Ken turned to Bell to ask. "Yes! Yes! Where?" Bell says eagerly. "Ok we are going into the forest but listen you have to stick with me so you don't get lost or hurt ok? We will still have fun though." Bell agreed and both kids walked towards the forest. The both walked and looked at fun plants and animals. Ken might say "Hey bell look what I found." Or bell would call Ken to show him a cute animal. They walked so far they reached the river. "Hey Ken!" Bell called "Come look at all these fish." "Wow, Bell there's so many. And look over there we haven't seen that plant yet. Why don't we go investigate and we can go home?" "Yes!" She yelled. "Let me carry you ok?" "Ok Ken!" While Ken got all wet walking through the river Bell didn't get wet. They got to the other side and Ken sat her down. What they didn't know was someone else was there.

Once again it was refill day, Mirabel woke up and tended to her garden, she ate a lunch and then walked to the river. She heard high pitched voices and giggles. She hid behind a tree and peaked around. It was two young kids. "How did they get all the way out here?" She wonders. She hears them walk over and ducks back behind the tree "Please don't come over here please don't come over here." She repeated to herself. She heard them right behind her so moved just a little and of course she stepped on a twig just her luck. "What was that??" She heard the girl say. "I don't Bell.." Mirabel peaked from behind the tree and made eye contact. "Hi" she squeaked out. "STRANGER" both kids yelled and started running across the river. Ken wasn't holding his younger sister this time and she was being carried away with the stream. "BELL SWIM BACK KICK YOUR LEGS." Ken yelled to his sister while running down the river with her. Mirabel was still watching, she put her bucket down and ran down the river just above where Bell was. She was much taller than both kids so she could still stand on the bottom of the river. When Bell reached where Mirabel was, she was scooped up and brought to his sister. "Are you both ok? Are you hurt?" Bell was catching her breath and shook her head no while Ken told her she didn't know the way back. "I'll walk you guys back if you'd like." "Yes please we were supposed to be home... now actually." Ken told her. "Ok follow me. Also what's your name kid?" "I'm Ken!" "Wow Ken and Bell what nice names." They made small talk on the way back and about half way through Mirabel picked up Bell to carry her. They got to the village and Mirabel said goodbye. Before Bell left she said "Are we friends now?" "Haha of course Bell." Bell giggled and ran after her brother. "Ok listen Bell mama can't know we went to the forest today so I'll tell her we were in the village playing with the other kids, if she asks why you're all wet tell her we were playing with a hose ok?" Ken told his sister as they walked home. "I can do that." When they walk in there's two cactus in random places "That's not good.." Ken said quietly. "Mama? We're home. I'm sorry we're late. Where are you?" "I'm upstairs come here right now!" Isabella yells. "Do you kids care to explain why you were late?? And how did Bell get drenched?" "I'm sorry mom we were playing with the other kids and weren't paying attention to the sun. Before we left we were playing with a hose and Bell was sprayed by one of the kids." Isabella sighed and said "Alright try coming home earlier next time you go into the village. Bell let's go get you cleaned up. Ken you can go eat dinner now." "Ok mom." Ken said. Ken ate dinner slowly trying to wait for Bell to come to the table and eat. He tried to eat at the same pace because he wanted to talk to her after dinner. When Ken finished his meal Bell was almost done so he sat next to her and helped her clean herself when she finished up. Ken picked her up out of the chair and took her with to their room. "Hey Bell was mom suspicious when she bathed you?" "No she just asked about the kids we played with and i just said it was the neighbors kids." "Good job Bell so listen what do you think about telling Antonio about our new friend and taking him to find her tomorrow." Ken said. "Antonio would love her. Although we never caught her name Ken how will we find her?" Bell wondered. "We could cross the river and see if anyone responds. Maybe she'll be there with her bucket again, I wonder what she needed it for." Ken told her. "Let's go tell Antonio right now!" Bell exclaimed. "Haha alright Bell." Ken and Bell walk down to Antonio's door and knocked. They waited for someone to answer as they were told to never go into to someone's room unless they gave you permission. After three mins Ken was about to tell Bell they could go look somewhere else when the doorknob handle jiggled. "Finally tonio! Let us in we need to tell you something." Antonio looked down at his younger nieces and nephew and allowed them in. "Guess what we did today Antonio." Bell said. "What did you do today Bell?" Questioned Antonio. He knew it probably wasn't good because these two were always getting in trouble. "We went into the forest and we made a new friend. She saved me from the river." Bell said all jittery.  "she WHAT." Antonio half yelled. "It's not as bad as it sounds I promise we were crossing the river and Bell couldn't withstand the stream and it carried her down the river, but our new friend jumped in and brought Bell to shore. And then walked us home when we were lost." Ken explained. "Hmm you shouldn't be befriending strangers in the forest guys but I'm happy she helped you. Do you know her name?" "No we didn't ask before we left but she said we were friends now!" Bell told him. "Yea we wanted to know if you wanted to come see her with us tomorrow." Ken asked. "Ok I can do that." Antonio replied. "Well there is one more thing" Ken said. "Oh what now??" Antonio wondered what else there could be. "Mama doesn't know we were in the forest today. She thinks we were in the village." Ken told him. "Of course you lied. What else." Antonio said rhetorically. "I'll keep up with this lie for you but just go sleep now ok?" Antonio said as he walked them to the door. "Ok! Goodnight Antonio." They said in sync. "Goodnight." And he closed the door. Both kids walked back to there room and went to sleep. Waking up the next morning for breakfast. While eating breakfast Ken asked his mom if they could go out again but with Antonio this time. "Well if Antonio is going then I suppose yes." "Yay thanks mom." Ken said. So after breakfast Ken and Bell went up to Antonio. "You guys ready?" Antonio asked. "Yea!" Both kids said. And so Ken and Bell lead the way to the river. When they got there Antonio demanded they both held his hand to cross. Both kids complied. Ken and Bell started yelling things like "Hello?" "Hey new friend?" While walking around.
