I'm so sorry I've been gone for so long! I got logged out of my account and my computer broke and it's just been so crazy. But I appreciate you guys for reading this! Thank you so much!

It was almost time for my suspension to be over and I was more than ready. The two weeks of chores and boredom had made me stir-crazy. I was ready to leave.

"'Mornin'." Darry said, opening the door to Soda and I's room and flipping on the light switch. I groaned as the harsh light temporarily blinded me and so did Soda. "Ready for your first day back?"

"Mhm." I grunted, sitting up and looking at Dar. He had already showered and was fully dressed and ready for the day. Even though I was excited to finally get back to school, I still wasn't a morning person and I showed that to Darry with a jaw-splitting yawn.

"Get out of bed, guys." Darry coaxed. I shot him a glare but swung my feet over the side of the bed. It was too early to argue with him, and quite frankly I didn't have enough energy. Dar tried to make me go to bed early last night, but I couldn't. I ended up staying awake until midnight, just tossing and turning. Soda stirred beside me, and with that Darry left the room.

Seeing that he was gone - and testing my luck - I lay back down beside Soda. Although it was bright in the room, I ended up dozing back off.

"Ponyboy!" Darry exclaimed. I shout up and jumped out of bed quickly. "You better hurry up. You're gonna be late!" He was obviously pissed that I went back to sleep, but he left the room angrily. I saw that Soda wasn't in bed anymore, which meant that I really needed to hurry. I quickly pulled on a pair of jeans and a tight-fitting black t-shirt, slicked back my hair, brushed my teeth, and sprinted into the living room.

"Finally." Soda sighed, feigning annoyance.

"Let's go." Darry said, and with that, we left.

The second I arrived, Curly ran over to me.

"Pony! Where ya been?" He joked. Soda glared at me since he knew I wasn't supposed to talk to Curly anymore, but I just rolled my eyes at him and he drove away. "What was that about?"

"Darry doesn't want me talkin' to you no more." I sighed.

"Well Darry ain't here right now, is he?" Curly smiled, slugging me on the shoulder. I chuckled, and we headed off to class together.

In first period, we were dissecting frogs. Curly dared the chick beside us to kiss it, but she wouldn't. She nearly threw up! It was a riot. Other than that, my day was pretty uneventful. I saw Johnathan a couple of times, but he never made eye contact. That sure made me feel tuff.

Soda drove me home after school and he said nothing to me the whole drive, which was weird because Soda never shuts up. I knew he saw me when I looked over at him, but he never returned my glance.

When we got inside, he stared me straight in the eyes. "Don't think I'm not tellin' Dar about you talkin' to Curly today." He stated simply, placing his hands on his hips. My eyes turned wide.

"Soda!" I whined. "It's not that big of a deal."

"Yes, it is." He responded, stepping toward me. "I know that Darry specifically told you not to talk to him."

"Please don't tell him." I begged, giving him my best puppy-dog eyes. Those usually worked on him, but not this time.

"I suggest you do some house cleanin' or somethin' before he gets home to get on his good side, 'cuz I'm not changin' my mind. You've dug your grave, now lie in it." Soda stated, and walked away. I was still taken aback from that exchange so I just stood there for a moment. I didn't know what got into Soda, but he sure was grumpy.
