I am woken up by the blinding light coming through my bedroom window. I roll over and pick up my phone to see that it is 11am and no messages from Landon. Maybe he's still asleep... I yawn as I get out of bed to make coffee. As I walk into the hall I see Lux's door is now closed. I quietly make my way to the kitchen careful not to wake Lux, if she is still asleep. I pour the water and coffee grounds into the coffee pot and turn it on. Knowing Lux will wake up when she smells fresh coffee, I take two cups off of the shelf. As I wait for coffee to be ready I stare at my phone hoping to see a text appear but it never does.

I am so focused on my phone that I don't hear someone walking behind me.

"What are we looking at?" I scream as Lux startles me.

"LUX CAN YOU NOT!!" I say loudly trying to catch my breath.

"SHHHH I have a killer hang over chill on the yelling!" She says clutching her head as she reaches for the full pot of fresh coffee that I never realized was finished.

"Sorry. I'm just waiting to see if maybe he'll text me..." I say pouring my coffee after her, my voice getting quieter with every word as the blood starts to rush to my warming cheeks.

"Ohhh yeah! Sit and tell me everything!" She says leaning on the table with her full attention pointed at me.

I tell her everything...and I mean EVERYTHING. I look up from my coffee seeing a evil smile on her face and I blush for the twentieth time during my story. Before she can say a word I hear her door shut. Immediately I snap my attention to her, noticing she is now extremely focused on her coffee mug.

I look back up to see a shirtless man known as "Shaggy" frozen in my hallway looking from her to me before slowly walking backwards into her room.

"Lux when did he get here? You were asleep when I came home." I say making her eyes meet mine.

"He came over at about 7am. Brought donuts." She says smiling

"Oh yeah? Cream filled?" I ask and giggle watching her blush as she hit my arm.

Once again Shaggy emerges from her room fully clothed this time.

"Sorry about...that I figured you were still asleep. I'm going to head out now." Shaggy says then points his attention towards Lux. "I'll text you." He says as he kisses her forehead and she sighs leaning into his kiss.

"Okay." She blushes "And tell your roommate to text Ash." She says before he walks out the door.

"Uhhhh I think he has an meeting with his prob...." He pauses and looks panicked before saying, "He should be back in a few hours...I'll let him know" He looks down and quickly exits our dorm.

I look at lux and she looks as confused as I do at his stumbling words.

"I wonder if that has anything to do with what Kaitlin said." I say continuing to think about what he is hiding.

"I don't know. Try not to think about it. Lets have a relaxing day and end with a movie night and not think about boys tonight. He will text you." I nod my head and go to hop in the shower before beginning our girls day.

~Dear Diary,
Today is about relaxation yet I can't relax thinking about what Landon could be hiding. Though he did just meet me so why would he tell me? And curiosity killed the cat but why would Kaitlin also keep him a secret?

Lux seems to be caught up texting Shaggy, yet told me to not think about Landon. Why is this boy consuming my mind? Tonight me and Lux are going to watch some horror films on Netflix. I just hope I can get him off my mind for a little...or maybe I don't want to stop thinking about the way his tongue felt on my...

"Ash come do a face mask and lets hit play!" I giggle at her timing and head to the bathroom in just a jacket and my thong to see her looking like a avocado with her green mask. I laugh as she starts applying the mask to my face. When she finishes I turn to the mirror and quote the famous video....

"It's an avocado...thaaankss." I stare at her right as she grabs a huge chunk of face mask. I immediately run as she chases me around our apartment style dorm.

I hear a thud and laugh when I turn around to see she has slipped on some fallen avocado mask that landed on the hardwood floor and she bursts out laughing. I head toward the kitchen to grab a towel and begin to clean the the floor.

There's a knock and Lux walks toward the door and opens it hiding her thong from being seen by the person on the other side.

"Ash its for you." She says before walking to the couch and gets on her phone. I walk to the door to see a boy I don't recognize. He has dark brown hair swooped to the side, bright hazel eyes, and freckles coating his nose. He's skinny yet fit.

"Can I help you?" I ask confused

"Uhhhh..." He looks down my body as I'm suddenly aware of what I'm wearing, or rather what I'm not, and quickly hide my lower half behind the door.

"Uhh yeah I'm Landon and Shaggy's roommate. I'm trying to see if he is here. He told me about you last night and I just assumed he would come here after his uhhh...meeting." He stumbles through his words scratching the back of his neck and looking to his left.

"Oh no he's not here. I haven't heard from him all day. If I hear from him I will be sure to let you know. Whats your name?" I ask looking back at Lux to see her nose is stuck in her phone giggling.

"Sorry my name is Jacob Dartwood. And thank you.."

"Yeah no problem." He smiles and as he walks away. I slightly close the door and peak down the hallway to see him start talking to a nervous looking Kaitlin. It looks as though she is about to cry before she turns and starts to walk off with Jacob. I shut and lock the door and head back to the couch. I hope he is okay.

The movie is finally over and Lux watched maybe 30 minuets of it being too caught up texting.

"Hey babes, it's getting late I'm going to head to bed." I say grabbing the plates of sushi off of the coffee table. She nods never looking up from her phone still smiling. It's nice to see her so relaxed and enjoying it here.

We've always tried to make the best of our lives back home but we were always walking on egg shells. Here we can relax and take a deep breath without feeling suffocated. I walk to my room and place my phone on the charger before burying myself in blankets. As I close my eyes and start to dose off my phone vibrates.

Landon: "Hey Princess. Sorry I didn't text you sooner I've been running around all day."

My heart starts to flutter and I sigh a breath of relief.

Ash: "Hey. I'm glad you're okay. Your roommate Jacob came by asking if you were here and he seemed worried but when shaggy left this morning he said you would be busy." I text back

Landon: "I'm so sorry he worried you. He should know better. But I do still owe you a new phone screen and some coffee. Are you free tomorrow?"

Ash: "He truly wasn't a bother. Honestly I thought I was just a smash and pass but when he said you mentioned me I'm not gunna lie, I was a little excited. I am absolutely free tomorrow."

Landon: "I'm glad that made you happy but I will be sure to kick his ass for killing my prince charming image. Get some sleep. I will text you in the morning and come pick you up. Maybe even on a horse to regain my image"

Ash: "I can't wait to meet this magical horse that fits through dorm hallways. goodnight prince charming."

Landon: "goodnight princess."

I place my phone back on my nightstand and roll over smiling like a little girl. I close my eyes and finally drift into a peaceful sleep.
