"Goodbye!" Paul said from his and John's doorstep, while waving at George's mom who was still in the car. "And thank you for the ride Louise!" He added.

"Thank you!" John echoed. She nodded politely and made a hand gesture that said 'no problem' and drove off. Now it was just the three of us, just me, Paul McCartney and John Lennon at their door step. Paul was stood one step above me and John, making him even taller.

John looked over at me but this time in a more neutral way, he didn't smile or look at me in a resentful manner. Then he opened his mouth as if he was about to say something and then quickly closed it again. 'Never mind' his eyes said. But there was something else there that I couldn't place. I found myself desperately wanting to know what he was thinking.

We all stepped inside and went up the stairs Paul first, followed by John and lastly me. Inside the actual apartment on the left hand side there was a desk covered in dozens of scattered papers and a few notebooks. Written in them were the lyrics and chords to songs. Some of which I recognised and some that I had never seen before. My eyes lingered on the messy desk, and Paul came up behind me.

"Oh uh, those aren't finished yet." he said awkwardly, showing that he was a little uncomfortable with me looking at the unfinished and unpolished lyrics he wrote. "Also some belong to john." He said as he causally tossed the keys over to John who put them in him pocket.

"How many have you written?" I turned around and asked him curiously.

"I don't even know me-self, quite a lot I should say. Not all of em are as good though."

"Even so, pretty impressive in my opinion." I responded quietly but I knew he heard me because he smiled a little more proudly after that.

On the right hand side there was the doorway to a small kitchen with an average sized fridge, a bunch of cupboards an old timey stove and a small table that stood against the wall with two chairs. It was a little messy but no more than you'd expect from an apartment belonging to two twenty year old guys.

I walked along further down the hall and followed Paul to the living room, we passed three doors which Paul later showed me to be his and John's bedrooms and the bathroom.

In the living room there was a dining table, a sofa and two chairs with a rectangle coffee table, and a box television on top of a little wooden tv stand. There was a big cupboard standing against the wall and Leung against the side of it were two guitars and a bass. In the corner there was a little blue record player that stood on the floor surrounded by mostly Chuck Berry, Elvis, and The Everly Brothers records.

"Well this is where you'll be staying I suppose." Paul said happily and crashed down on the couch. On the coffee table there were even more lose papers and notebooks of hand written lyrics of him and John and among others I spotted the words to the songs 'it's only love' and 'love me do'.

John was leaning in the doorway, he hadn't said anything since we got inside and to be honest it was really freaking me out. In every interview I ever saw of him he always had something sarcastic or witty to say but now it seemed like he was just deep in thought all of the time.

Since Paul asked me to stay over, John hadn't said anything particular at all, and in my mind I was already jumping to conclusions ... did he know who I was or what had happened? Was he on to me? I thought. But he couldn't be... Because how would he know? Nobody saw me when it happened. I was alone.

Or maybe he was just suspicious of me, not knowing exactly what was going on but sensing that something about me was off. That could very well be, because I felt off to, like I didn't belong. For example the fact that I was in an apartment decorated by two twenty year olds but it reminded me so vividly of my grandparents appartement. And all that John's silent stare did, was just make me feel more out of place than I already did.
