They met at their first year at school back in kindergarten. They were just children, she was nice and had big blue eyes, and he was introverted and had a playful green gaze. They shouldn't have become friends - they shouldn't have talk at all to begin with - that was the first rule. But they matched and they did.
Years passed and, against all odds, dispite their family war, the rules, what other people thought, their bond kept getting stronger. They became the most important person in each other's lives. That's why she never understood how he could have just abandonned her. She sure as hell that she could never have done it so how could he ? He broke her so bad that she promised herself that she would never love someone so much again. Because, to love that much, gives that person the power to break you. And God how hard it had been to put the pieces back together ! Since then, she had the impression of being nothing more than an abstract mosaic whose pieces held with difficulty with each other. What's the point of giving someone such power over us? If only she had known before...
She was the centre of his universe. The reason why he had succeeded to survive the war years ago, to come back to her. She was the person he turned to everytime he wanted to talk either he was sad or happy. Well, he wasn't a big talker actually, but with her he could just talk for hours, it always have been this way. Since this first day in kindergarten where his Mavi invited him to come play with her and started chatted nonstop. Even back then he remember how amazed he was by her : her big shining blue eyes, her contagious smile, her crystalline laugh, her joy of life... Her heart was so pure that he couldn't help but fall in love with her over the years.
The legend says that by creating humans beings, God divided a soul to put it in two bodies and that's how the expression "soul mate" was born. If that was true and the other part of his soul was in someone else, it could only be her, he knew that. Deep down, he certainly knew it at the very first second he laid his eyes on her. That must be why he defied all prohibitions to be her friend, despite the fear that his family inspired in him.
But here they were, years later, in the midst of their own war independent of that of their families.
She has to come back to Istanbul to take care of her father, which just learn he was sick, and she want to have nothing to do with him.
He took over his family empire and want nothing else than to win her back.
They are both stubborn so who will have the last word? And what other pains will they inflict each other by taking this path?.
