Serhat patiently settled on the bench, feeling his nervousness gradually increase as the seconds passed. He had been rehearsing what he was going to say for hours the evening before, unable to think of anything else... not to mention that night when he had barely managed to sleep, haunted by Halide's face and eyes when she had discovered for Isik. He had then thought in more detail about everything she could have imagined, about what he would have imagined in her place, and damn it, he was really screwed !

Alper was so mad at himself, he kept apologizing. But Isik was like that, when she decided something, she could escape your vigilance in a split second and act on her impulsiveness. Serhat then assured him that it wasn't his fault and he really meant it, he didn't blame him. It wasn't Isik' fault either.

In reality, it was his fucking fault. He knew it could happen, he had already thought about it. He had even dreaded it the night before, fearing that Halide had run into Isik when she took him home. He had already been extraordinarily lucky so, of course, you couldn't play with fate repeatedly and come out unscathed every time.

The gate opened and Halide stepped out into the street. He felt the blood pound in his temples as he stood up to approach her. When she turned around, after closing the gate, she came face to face with him. The deeply unhappy expression to see him that she had twisted his stomach.

"Hi..." He said awkwardly.

She froze. Damn it, but what was he doing there ?! It just wasn't possible ! Did she really have to see him every fucking day ? Saturday, Sunday and now Monday ! It was restless, she couldn't take it anymore ! She only asked for one day, just one, when she wouldn't have to face him. Was it really too much to ask ? So she just ignored him and started on her way.

Maybe it wasn't the best of his ideas, but at the point things had gotten to, he didn't know what to do anymore. It kept getting worse and worse so he had to try anything.

Ok, you don't have to answer but you will have to hear me... He thought, starting to follow her.

"I didn't lie yesterday." He began, trying to remember that well-prepared speech. "You are truly the only woman I have loved in my entire life, there has been no one else."

He saw her fists clench on each side of her body which tensed but she continued walking ignoring him. He knew he might take that fist to the face if he went too far, but he was willing to take the risk.

"When you left, I lost control." He admitted, a little ashamed. "I was partying all the time, I drank a lot, even during the day at work, I was... a wreck. And it was my fault, of course it was, it was because of me that you're gone !"

Damn, but he couldn't remember his speech properly !

"I'm ashamed to admit it, but it lasted a long time... After almost 3 years, Deniz, a friend of Suhandan's, came to find me and told me that we had a child and that she had her adopted at the time but that the adoptive parents just died. I'm telling you, I... I don't even remember that night. I remember arriving at the party, to have danced with her and then, the total blackout. Of course, I had a paternity test done, I'm not stupid but... the moment I met Isik, I knew. I knew she was my daughter, it's stupid but... I felt it."

Halide stopped so he did the same and, although she wasn't facing him, she turned slightly in profile.

"Why are you telling me all this ?"

"I want you to understand that you're still the only one for me. Well, with Isik now. I didn't lie."

"Does that change anything ?" She questioned him.

"You tell me."

"No... You and me it's still... long dead."

"It doesn't have to stay that way. If you gave me a chance to tell you absolutely everything, we could fix it all."
