It wasn't the first time Halide was transferred, she had already experienced this situation during her studies almost six years earlier, yet she couldn't help but be shocked and dazed by the mountain of papers she had to fill. Not to mention the ones she had to provide...

The positive point was that she had been remarkably well received. Everyone seemed very friendly and happy to have someone new on the team. She hoped that tomorrow, her first day at work, would go just as well.

After what seemed like an eternity, she finally got out of the hospital. Immediately, she heard a familiar voice call her name and, turning to the source, she discovered her cousin and best friend: Derya. They jumped into each other's arms, happy to meet again, as if they hadn't seen each other for a century when Derya had left her home only a month and a half earlier.

Derya was certainly the one who came to visit her most often and who stayed the longest. Maybe because they always have been so close and never stayed too long without seeing each other. And, well, having a place to go abroad was kind of nice.

"What are you doing here ? I thought we were meeting at your house !" Halide asked.

"I couldn't wait any longer, I was too impatient." Derya replied.

What they didn't know was that a few meters away, someone was watching them.

Knowing she would be there, Serhat couldn't resist the urge to come see her. Even from afar. He couldn't believe his eyes. Halide had changed so much... The young woman who didn't really make an effort in clothing, or even make-up or hairstyle, had transformed into a classy woman. She was so chic in her all-white look, from her flowy pants, to her tight top, and her blazer draped over her shoulders. Her hair was pulled up in a half ponytail with no hair sticking out and, he couldn't see her face from where he was, but he was willing to bet she was wearing makeup according to the way she looked.

She was gorgeous. She already was before - she always have been, really - but now she was also sensual and classy.

If he had the courage, he would listen to the little voice that begged him to go see her, but he suspected the reaction she would have. He had missed her so much. He thought that seeing her would lessen this lack a little, but in reality, it only increased it tenfold. He didn't know yet how he would approach her, but he was really going to have to consider the matter. Just like he must think about how he was going to beg her to forgive him. Because, knowing her, he was certain that she was going to make him beg, crawl. And not just a little. She couldn't have changed that much.

He resigned himself to leave when the two women got into Derya' car.

.

"You can't imagined how I missed our daily chitchat, I had no one to talk about everything." Derya commented, holding a glass of wine to Halide.

Halide smiled slighty, grabbing the glass and taking a sip of it, before answering :

"You still had me. We daily talked about everything, Derya. Because something really useful has been created and it's called a smartphone. Without mentioning the exorbitant rate of the cell phone plan that I had taken to make unlimited international calls."

"So you didn't miss me too ?" She lamented , offended.

"Of course I did." Halide corrected with a tender smile.

"Exactly ! Because that's not the same."

"Absolutely !" She nodded, trying to keep her seriousness before failing miserably and laughing.

"You know, your attitude is really offensive !" Derya commented.

"No, no, canim, I totally agree with you. I just... I really missed that tendency to dramatize everything. It's really not the same on the phone, that's true."
