Chapter nine: Dabi

Kirishima smiles slightly and hugs todoroki back, but then he gets a phone call and has to take it, seeing the contact is his doctor's. He excuses himself again and answers the call.

''Hello?"

"Hello there, is this eijiro kirishima?"

"Speaking, yes."

"Great, we have an appointment for 4pm, is that alright?"

"4pm today?"

"Yes, that's right."

"Alright, that's fine. I'll be there.."

"Great, that's at the hospital, you'll find the maternity ward on the second floor. Just follow the signs and they'll be expecting you."

"Alright, great, thanks."

"No problem, goodbye sir."

"Bye.."

He hangs up and then walks back out of the room and closes the door behind him, then asks "Now.... would you like me to call one of my parents? Because... chances are, they can dig up a better argument with all of their resources... you can choose to say no, that is fine as well."

Todoroki hesitates at first, before saying "...how about just your mother?"

Kirishima raises an eyebrow and tilts his head slightly "Just my mother? I can do that.... sure.."

Mr. Aizawa: "...Why so specific?"

Todoroki rubs the back of his neck slightly "....I don't.. his father gives me weird vibes..."

Hawks: "...if I agree will I be fired..?"

Kirishima chuckles slightly and shakes his head, then hawks nods and says "...yeah, as much as I hate to admit it, me too.."

Kiri thinks for a moment, before saying "....he is a little bit of a strange guy... but, well... he always has been."

Todoroki: "...what do you mean by that? Isn't he your father? You wouldn't know that if he was, would you?"

Kirishima pauses and says "....I met him when I was 6 years old. He is my biological father, but..... it's complicated, ok? It's just... a complicated issue. It's not like he went to prison or did anything bad... well, not bad in the eyes of the law anyway and really that's all you need to know.... but I can definitely involve only my mother.. that isn't a problem."

He goes into the office and closes the door, then hawks says "..we.. hit a nerve I think...."

Mr. Aizawa: "You think? Be more careful with your words.... especially now.."

Hawks: "Why? Something going on now?"

Todoroki shrugs slightly "All we know is that he kept throwing up, we went to recovery girl and they won't tell us what happened."

Hawks thinks for a moment and nods slightly "....I wonder what happened..?"

Nezu: "Nothing that concerns you. Now.... I'm going to call fatgum's agency and see if we can get one of his teams out."
