***This is back in Y/N'S POV...ENJOY THE LAST CHAPTER OF QUIRK: EXPLOSION***

"...I love you too."

"Huh?" The word slipped out of my mouth without any thought. My mind was reeling.

He pulled out a black box from his pocket. The box had a velvet ribbon tied around it. "Open it."

Bakugo nudged the box towards me. "What is this?" I asked suspiciously. "Just take it."

After wiping my hands on my robe, I took the box from him. Carefully, I undressed the box.

Two beautiful black braided bracelets caught my eye. "I bought them a long time ago, but didn't know how to give them to you." He said.

I was caught admiring the beauty.

"Flip it over." I turned it over slowly and engraved into the back were the words, "Luceat Lux Vestra."

"Let your light shine," I said softly.

They radiated sincerity and warmth. The short yet simple phrase meant so much to me. It hit me like a ton of bricks.

"These are beautiful, Bakugo, but why do you have two?" I asked, inspecting the second one.

"I can't say how much I appreciate you verbally, so I decided to buy you a gift that says it all. One is for me, and the other is for you. If you want it."

I gave him the bracelet and flipped my wrist over, "I was so scared that it was the end of our friendship. I thought I fucked up."

Gently placing the bracelet under my wrist he said, "I thought the same thing. Do you remember when we got off the wrong train station?"

"We practically got kicked off for arguing. I always wondered what would've happened if we stayed on the train."

"I said all those things to you that day, yet you still shared your small umbrella with me." He placed his wrist out for me to put the bracelet on.

As I secured the piece of jewelry, I said, "Are you serious? That was so many months ago. Don't worry over small stuff like that."

"I was in a bad mood that day, and I took it out on you. You made my day 10 times better just by sharing your umbrella with me."

"My umbrella?" I questioned. "I'm glad it made you feel better, but I don't see the connection."

"Yeah, just listen for a second." He whined. "I promised myself that I will always make sure you're ok. It's the least I can do after everything."

"Was that why you tried to stop me from getting on the bus during the test, and why you came into my room during the training camp about overusing my quirk?"

Bakugo looked away, keeping his eyes glued to the ground. "Aww, Bakugo. I thought that you were trying to undermine my ability. But all along you were just worried about me."

"I never wanted to remind you of Mark. Thinking about it makes me fucking disappointed and pissed."

I was so blinded by my emotions earlier, I failed to realize he's my biggest supporter.

Bakugo has unknowingly shown me support and unconditional care that my dad could never match.

"Mark doesn't have anything on you. You're not like him. You're my best friend and I'm glad you're here with me." I reassuringly squeezed his hand.

I got up and went into my closet to find another blanket for us. I spotted a blanket large enough for both of us and reached for it.

I don't know what the hell this blanket was coated in, but I could not grab it to save my life.
