Chapter 7

Devons Pov:

School's over and I'm now on my way back home. Sadly I couldn't talk with Claire anymore. When I wanted to talk with her after class Megan just pulled her with her. I can't blame her though, she has other friends.

Kim and Chloe also met at lunch and they get along really well. Even though I just met Chloe today I know we're gonna be really good friends. It feels like I know her for years!

Immediately when I go into the living room my mom's rush over to me.

"Sooo, how was your first day?" Mama asks with a big grin, making me laugh.

"Good." I answer simply with a shrug.

"Did something interesting happen?" Mom asks and smirks as well, which makes me groan.

"Well I made a few friend. Her name is Chloe." I tell them and they gasp at that.

"Ohhhuu, is she pretty?" Mama asks curiously while raising an eyebrow.

I groan. "Guys, come on!" I whine, making them laugh.

But then they just look at me, wanting me continue to talk. So I sigh.

"Yes, she is. She's so in love with a girl in school. It's really cute." I tell them but they just frown.

I chuckle. "I don't like her like that. She's nice but.."

"You're still in love with Claire." Mom answers for me and I sigh.

"Oh did you see her today?" She adds and I can't stop myself from smiling.

"Yeah." I then tell them what happend but somehow they were more excited to find out that Ryan is the principal now.

"Okay okay, sorry. So when is she coming over?" Mama asks with a smirk.

"Oh um..we haven't talked about that yet.." I mumble and they softly chuckling at that.

"Well I will!"

| October 21rd | Friday |

It's now nearly two weeks later and Kim and I are now on our way to the party.

"So..how do feel about seeing Claire now after everything that happened this week?" He asks as he stops at a red light.

Claire and I barely talked ever since Monday, two weeks ago. Everytime I try to she just finds another away to avoid me.

I sigh. "I really just don't want to see her. But I can't avoid her, she's definitely gonna be there." I reply and he patts my shoulder.

"Let's just try to have fun. Well just leave the room if Claire's there too." He says and I nod with a small smile.

"Okay."

After a few minutes we arrived at John's house and damn..soo many people are already here.

"Ready?" Kim asks and I nod.

We both then get out of the car and go inside the house. Everyone is already dancing and drinking and many ate already drunk.

"Let's grab some drinks!" Kim yells and I nod before we walk over to the little bar.

We then just drunk a little and listened to the music for a while. After a few minutes Kim goes to dance with some girl, which leaves me alone at the bar.

I start looking around and damn some of them are really wasted. But then my eyes fall on Claire, who's talking with her friends.

She then suddenly looks at me too and now we're both staring at each other. I put my drink down on a table and then walk in her direction. Her eyes widen at that but when I'm nearly in front of her I turn away and walk upstairs.

I just need space from everyone

So I go over to a room and open the door. But what I find in there just shocks me.

"Oh my god!" I exclaim shocked when I see Peter literally doing it with another girl.

"Are you serious?!" I ask angrily as quickly gets up from the bed.

"If you tell Claire about this I will kill you!" Peter warns me but I just scoff.

"Fuck off, Peter. You clearly don't deserve her!" I tell him before turning around and walking downstairs to Claire.

"I need to talk to you." I say to Claire as I walk towards her.

"Stay away from her Claire she just tried to make me sleep with her." Peter suddenly says, which makes both of our eyes widen.

"What the hell?! That's not true!" I exclaim angrily, being really shocked.

"Oh no? Then what is that?" He asks while pointing at his neck, showing a red kiss spot.

"Seriously? I don't even wear lipstick!" I say with a scoff.

I then turn back to Claire and take her hand. "Claire, please believe me. He's lying, I swear! I just caught him doing it with another girl!" I yell and now everyone is quiet and looking at us.

"Why would I be lying to you? I don't even like guys and I think you know that I pretty much hate Peter. Look at me, would I really lie to you?" I say and Claire looks between me and Peter.

"She's obviously lying to you, can't you see that? She's in love with you, haven't you noticed that already? She would do anything to break us up!" Peter yells angrily, which makes me freeze in place.

"I really thought you're different, Devon.."
