Welcome to Alexis!
This is my 6th story, my 7th piece of work. I've said it before, and I'll say it for every piece I publish on here. I write for myself. I don't write for others.
This work is a piece of fiction. Any names or references to real people, things, or characters are simply of coincidence. All characters belong to me, Arianna Green. Any images that I use I will credit. If not, then it's my picture. If my work is distributed without my consent, I will ask for one to take it down. If it stays up, I will proceed as necessary.
A few reminders:
- I always translate in the comments, if I don't, expect it within the hour. Sometimes I forget.
- If I don't translate and it's been some time, or I've translated everything except a few paragraphs, it's because I don't want you to know what they said. If Alexis doesn't know (the POV of which this book is written) then the readers will follow unless they look it up themselves.
- I'm busy. I truly am. I don't get any reward from publishing "Alexis" on this platform. This is not a job to me. I update when I can. Don't bitch at me because I will purposefully hold off updating because of it (if's it's disrespectful, of course).
- I'm a realist. . . .
NOW READ BELOW THIS.
I SWEAR TO FUCKIN GOD
READ IT
OR YOU'LL REGRET IT
This book is MATURE. I don't need a child reading this. I don't fucking care if you've "read worse" or anything. This book is not for children (and I'm sorry, but that means under 18. I know Alexis is 17 but she can be dumb and not make smart decisions. I don't need to wrongly influence kids).
-- Let's paint a scenario.--
You're 17 and you're at a bar. You order a beer, Samuel Adams. Well, the bartender asks for your ID. You're underage. Everyone around you knows it. The bartender says that he can't serve you, it goes against the rules. Well, now you're frustrated. Why can't you drink? Don't you have rights? Unalienable rights?
So, you frown and you say to the bartender "I've been drinking hard liquor since I was sixteen. I can have a beer. It's nowhere near as bad."
The bartender is now irritated because he is just trying to do his job. He's only earning minimum wage and now on top of drunken bastards and intoxicated sluts, he has to deal with a child. He calls over security, not bothering to deal with you.
Now, you are outside in the cold because someone told you to bring a jacket but you didn't. Also, you're embarrassed because your friends were old enough. You were the only one that got kicked out.
Get the gist? This book isn't for children.
Don't make me be the bad guy, just don't read it. Simply. Consider this an 18th birthday present, if you must.
-- More important things--
Content warning: Mature language, mature events, sexual assault (kinda, I'll put it just in case although, in both scenarios, you will see it coming), self-harm, a depressing mindset (yes, if there is one thing I can do, it's make readers sad), miscarriage, abortion, infidelity (cheating), talk of death, murder, slurs and offensive terms (yes. . . obviously, if you read Vincent then you know what I write. Same thing with Curls, The Alpha, and Dies Irae. Some of you all went off because I used "anorexic" in Curls. If that offends you then leave now because I will write much more than that), alcoholism, blood, gore, bullying, domestic abuse (emotional, physical, mental, etc.), drug use, and guns.
I've mentioned it before. I'm a realist, most of the time. I do not romanticize the mafia/Cosa nostra/whatever you call it. I keep it real. That being said:
This is a sad book. It's going to be hard for a few of you to get through the first few chapters. Some of you hate your father, mother, brother, exes, everything. Alexis doesn't.
On another note, you will hate every character at one point. I get it. I do. I'm the one who wrote it. Some of you like to express your love or contempt for some of the characters. I simply ask to keep it respectful. If you insult me, repeatedly, then you will be blocked and reported for harassment. Just be respectful, it's simple, I promise.
The first update will be on the 22nd. I will leave this up to give everyone ample time to read it.
Finally, without further ado:
Alexis
