Chapter 7

Next day, Winger and Summer decided to hang out together alone for a day since others were busy. They went to another island on the beach. They sit close to each other and talk when they chat and laugh.

Winger: yea, yea, fine, fine. It's nice to have alone time with just the two of us. Felt like a date but it just hung out right.

Summer: yep... it nice to have alone time. So, what do you want to talk about Cutter, even about your twin too?

Winger: Well, let's start with Cutter first... it nice that he is going to have a mate soon but... I don't find him being in love with his mate. He doesn't seem.. Into her, he only finds ways to cheer Aggro, and it is about time that he finally got her talking.

Summer: she is growing, Winger... also Burple and Cutter seem to feel down since a few days ago. I felt like something had happened since their trip to Burple's sister. I feel like she is not getting better.

Winger:.. I need to go back and get Marena and Leyla then... they will know what to do.

Summer: I asked Burple many times... he didn't want to.

Winger: now for twins, they are thinking about opening new teams for other towns and traveling the world. So we as Rescue Riders, go to travel around for like a few days to find some people and dragons to have a chat about Rescue Rides teams and Duggard agrees, we are leaving tomorrow morning.

Summer: then we will be leaving around noon, it was fun.

They chuckles and smiles.

At the cave where Cutter and Wendy meet each other again. They are fighting about not often seeing each other much.

Cutter: I was only gone for two days... don't you sometimes want to meet my parents?

Wendy: We already did when we were young kids. They really wanted us to be together since we are a match for each other.

Cutter: my parents didn't really say that, just your parents did... they wanted me to be independent...

Wendy: Do you always care about being independent?!

Her face down angry at Cutter.

Cutter: Wendy, the most important thing... don't you want to be happy?

Wendy: All I'm happy about is you.

Cutter: Wendy, we've been fighting every time I get here for three whole months.

Wendy: That's because you don't really want to stay here. This is about Alex isn't it?

Cutter: ( groans angry ) for many times, she and i aren't a thing, she already had a mate also she and i are just best friends...

Wendy: yea, who basically raised by some old fool Rockspitter even her sensitive weird purple dragon.

Cutter: What did you just call her little brother?

Wendy: ( scoff ) don't tell me that you actually care about them don't you?

Cutter: ( sighs ) yea, i don't think this is working out for us.

Wendy: What are you saying, you're leaving?

Cutter: yea, i think that's for the best... since you have no respect for them especially Alex and her family.

Cutter took off and Wendy was angry and huff and felt hurt inside of her when he left her. Cutter arrives at Dragon cave and Burple is already there and sees that Cutter doesn't seem happy.

Burple: you came back, early. Did something happen?

Cutter: yea... she and i aren't no longer together.

Burple: uh, that's new to hear.

They walk to each other and sit down to talk.

Burple: wanna talk about it...?

Cutter: you already know her... her anime is Wendy.

Burple: oh, she seems nice.

He looked at Burple.

Cutter: you only know her when you are a few days old. You don't really know her much.

Burple: yea, but i heard she is.

Cutter: Actually she isn't. All she cares about is something else and I did the right thing to leave her, cause you don't want to know what she said today.

Burple: was it that bad?

Cutter: We've been fighting for months. Because I've been going back and forth.

Burple: why didn't you want to stay with her, isn't it what being a mate is?

Cutter: yea, it just... I felt like you weren't ready yet when I left.

Burple: why would you say that?

Cutter:... When she and I got together, I came back home to inform you guys. You were in the dragon cave feeling sad all day long and didn't tell us what was wrong. And that was when I asked you and told me that your sister is dying, she has problems with her health and being pregnant... that when i sorta lost my hope of everything even being part of Rescue Riders. I just decided to not tell because it hurts when we have to think about Alex.

Burple: why didn't you tell me... ( sighs ) I'm sorry about you and Wendy. Must be hard uh?

Cutter: You can say that again.

They chuckle in a sad soft voice.

Burple:... i want to ask Leyla and Marena for help, but... all she wants is that egg lives.

Cutter: Yeah, I understand how she feels.

Burple: I know she is a good friend to you, best friend. Also my sister... we really gonna miss her.

Cutter: me too.

Their eyes fill with water when they use their wings to hug. Their tears fall and remember the time of best memories from Alex when they were young kids.
