Chapter 8

In the morning, Rescue Riders left town to travel around the islands and sea to look for dragons and people. Each of them went separate ways to visit each dragon and people to discuss about.

Cantata: Hmm, I don't know, Melodia. Do you think it is a good idea to have Songstress dragons in a team?

Melodia: I don't think it a good idea, I heard some of them will be under from their singing for some reason.

They look at Cutter.

Melodia: I'm sorry, Cutter. I don't think it is a good idea to have songstress dragons around.

Cutter: It's alright, thank you for letting me know.

Melodia: But we have some friends who aren't Songstress.

Cantata: yea, that's definitely a no, Melodia, their the threat remember?

Melodia: oh, right yea never mind.

Cutter: it's alright, thank for help.

...

Gill: We will think about it, Summer. Thank you for your offer for us and our kids.

She smiled and nodded same with Divewings dragons.

...

Oscar: we will ask our friends... Thank you for coming over for the visit, burple.

...

Alex: My friends aren't like you guys, Burple. I'm sorry about that.

Burple: thank you for letting me know.

He kisses her head and leaves when Alex smiles.

Mama Ironclaw: we will think about it, Aggro. Thanks for coming by.

Aggro: no problem.

...

Young boy: I wish I could join but this place is my home.

Leyla: My brother and I can make the team for you, but I understand thanks for being honest.

Young boy: I will let you know when we are ready, or me actually. My father is thinking about it.

She smiled and nodded.

Teen boy: Our Chef will think about it, thanks for your offer.

Dak: No problem.

Grumplegard: I'm sure some dragons will be willing to be part of Rescue Riders teams...

Leyla: then they are welcome to come to our Roost...

...

Snoop: I have some friends that aren't like us...

Winger: may i ask why are you living by yourself?

Snoop: eh, I'd rather travel around than live with my cousin and his mate. Also their kids missed you guys and wanted to say hi.

Winger: tell them right back...

Winger leaves Snoop's place. After two days, they head back home to Roost in the Middle of the night while they are laughing about something.

Leyla: some have said no and some said yes.

Cutter: but when it comes to Songstress, Melodia and Cantata believe it wasn't such a good idea to have them around.

Leyla: I checked yesterday when I was looking at a book about Songstress. They have good points.

Burple: even with Razorwing dragons...

Cutter: Alex and I aren't like them, well half on Alex.

Burple and Cutter nodded.

Summer: Alex is Razorwing?

Burple: yea, my parents adopted her before i hatch...

Leyla: That's good to hear...

Burple: also... Alex does need help.

Leyla: Okay, then I will come by tomorrow afternoon since I have plans with Finngard and Hannahr, even Duggard.

Cutter: it won't work if we tried to help her.

They look at boys confused.

Winger: What do you mean?

Burple: she has problems inside of her stomach even while she is pregnant... She is going to give birth next week.

Aggro: sick while pregnant... that's good, when did you both hear that news?

Cutter: three months ago... it's getting worse. And all she wants right now is that her egg stays healthy and safe. She will do anything to keep her baby dragon healthy.

Summer: there is a way to save them both.

They shake her head softly, same with leyla.

Leyla: Well it depends if we fix her stomach... She got sick three months ago, and has problems with her stomach.  I think it means she has cancer or her stomach must have burst inside of her stomach.

Aggro: if it bursts, the egg inside with the baby dragon isn't gonna survive when it gives birth.

Summer: also if it has cancer, well the egg will survive it but it will pass on generations...

Burple: one question, what happens if her bottom leaks?

Winger: then that's definitely the burst of my stomach... it probably wouldn't show the colors but it could be bad.

Leyla: Summer, Cutter, and Burple. We need to get to her or the egg isn't gonna live bither will she. Rest of you guys stay here.

They nod and agree when Cutter, Burple, Leyla, and Summer leave the Roost to Alex's place.
