"Hey, Phantomhive? You're good at math, right?"

He was good at math too, of course. Fantastic, actually. Then why, you ask, would he be asking the Phantomhive boy for help?

He needed an excuse to be closer. They were distant enough as is, despite them living a block away, and going to the same school, in the same homeroom, amongst other things.

"Yeah... Why you ask..?"

"Im having troubles, I guess, and you're the closest friend I have.. We do count as friends, right..?"

"I.. Guess.. Uh, I could help you out, if you wanted?"

"Oh, that'd be great!"

He chirped happily, clasping his hands together and smiling widely. The younger boy just shrugged and stuffed his books into his bag.

"You free today and tomorrow?"

"Im always free, Phantomhive. Look at me. Im the school slut, despite being a virgin."

Of course, only Ciel knew the truth. He had been up front and asked Alois if they were true, and believed him instead of the others. That's one of the reasons why Alois was so attracted to him.

"Well, can't be helped I guess.."

He mumbled, closing up his locker.

"So then, I guess you're mine for the next few days."

He said as he looked up to Alois for confirmation. The words made his heart flutter. 'I'd be yours forever, Phantomhive..'

"Yeah. Looks like it."

-x-x-

"So, if x is 47, then negative x by 3 equals..?"

He trailed off his sentence, expecting Alois to pick it up. He just stared back at the bluenette with a dreamy look in his eye.

"Trancy!"

"Oh, 141."

"Wrong."

"No, I'm right. See, times 3 by 47. It's 141."

He paused and looked over the work.

"..oh. Well, in any case. You're getting all of this rather quickly.."

The younger boy smirked and looked at the other skeptically.

"It doesn't look like you need much help in this department, huh, Trancy?"

Shit. Bingo.

"W-well, i.."

"You what..?"

He heaved a sigh.

"I have a confession. I'm better at math than you are."

"I could tell. You only corrected me seven times in the past half hour. I'm not that stupid."

He giggled a little and let out another breath.

"Well, there's another thing."

"Mm? And what is that..?"

'I've liked you for two years, more than I probably should. Say it. It's been this long, you can say it.'

But he froze anyway. Fuck, why was it always so hard to confess?

"I-I won't beat around the bush about it, now,"

He sputtered.

"You're doing just that right now, you know."
