Chickens clucking, birds chirping and people chatting: that's what makes Georges wake up in that day. He opened his weary eyes slowly. The sunlight was directly touching his face. As he saw the light, he was stunned— is heaven needing me now?— he scrunched his face, rub his eyes and found out that it's just the sunlight. He chuckled ha-ha. He moved away from the direct sunlight. He sat loosely and stretched his body. He was still lazy to stand up but he managed to. He looked into the window and was surprised, it was a good sunny day. The feeling of bright, made his mood better. What a great way to start the day.
"Good morning Alexandre! Another day for you"

Georges went in the bathroom to wash his face. As he enters the bathroom, he saw the chemicals he once was thinking of drinking. He just laughs about it and wet his face. He put soap, rub it on his cheeks and soak his whole face in the sink, filled with water, and in closed drain. He raised his head joyfully as if he's acting like a child. When he's done, he wiped his face with towel and got out of the bathroom. He quickly changed his clothes. A more casual shirt. He grabbed the letter he wrote last night under his bed. He put it in his wallet. He also put an extra pen in his pocket, which he always does incase he needed one. Georges went down and saw his mom preparing for breakfast. She then gave him a cup of tea and baguette. Georges sat in the seat and ate. He finished his meal but left his drink. He only sipped a few. After eating, he told his mom that he'll be going to the post office, to send a message to a friend. His mom allowed him to so he went out quickly. He walked to the post office, he didn't wanna get a ride because he wanna see the people around him having a great day. It radiates to him too. He walks so gracefully as if nothing happened, no grief and no sadness. As he gets to the post office, in the counter, he gets the letter he wrote last night and checked it. He forgot to put the address and name on it, so he did fill it out. Thanks to his extra pen, it was made possible. He wrote in the envelope the address and name of whom he is gonna give his letter to. After writing, he gave the letter to the counter. He happily left the post office and walked home. He is in a good mood right now. He's not sad, well, he is, and he still feels something's missing but that's not what radiates more to him. It's not his choice to be happy or what. This shows how environment can widely affect you, and entirely you, as a person.

Walking home, he saw a mailman going to his house

Walking home, he saw a mailman going to his house. He ran to him even before the mailman gets close to the door. He thought it might be for him. He also thought it might not be, and if it wasn't really meant for him, it's a little embarrassing. But nevertheless, the letter was for one of his family. He would still be able to see that even if it's not given to him. Georges approached the mailman and the mailman asked him, "Mister, are you.. uhh, Georges de Sarre?". —wait, it's for me. I wonder who sent that. Probably Lucien or some teacher priests in our school.
"Oui, oui", Alexandre replied.
The mailman gave him the letter and left. Georges analyzed the letter. It's in a normal envelope and folding and seems like, it's a simple greeting. He opened the envelope, gets the letter and unfolded it. He was a bit excited for it yet questionable.

"To: Georges de Sarre,

Happy birthday Georges, I couldn't go there. Enjoy your day. I don't know when will this be sent to you but Happy Birthday, or Belated! I read the news and I'm sorry for your loss. He's been a part of you. You'll probably rephrase this as, he's more than just a part of you. I understand you, I hope we could talk sometimes. Be strong."

Without reading the ending salutation, and to whom it was from, he felt surprised. He suspected:
"This is very unexpected. This would only come to a long friend or a priest. I know many in my school know about the news but who would've known my connection to Alexandre other than Rouverè? And if it's not him, who would've cared?"
He continued reading and came across the name, "Father Trennes of St. Denis".
Georges couldn't believe that Father Trennes wrote him a letter. He's already expelled. He also noticed, Father Trennes already found another school to work from. The letter, that was so thoughtful of him, Trennes was once Georges' foe. He saw the letter as a positive outcome. Georges set it "tie". The letter he gave this morning was also for Father Trennes. He wanted to reconcile with him. He knew everything, the struggles, the plights; and Georges thought that Father Trennes would be a big help for him in moving on and coping. "A good omen came", he said.
