Days have passed and Georges continued living and reading his Astronomy book. He left a bookmark in page 22, because it introduced him to the brightest stars at night which attracts his interest.
July of 21st came, and it's the day he's been waiting for. As he woke up, he gets his clothes, he fixed his face and rearranged. He went down for breakfast and he managed to eat. After breakfast, he told his mom that he is meeting a friend in which is mother didn't hesitate and permitted him to go. He went out his house and walking in the aisle of the pathway, he stumble upon Father Trennes. He was shocked but wasn't surprised at all. He looked at him and gave no expressions. Father Trennes walked away and Georges, clueless and simply went with him. Father Trennes' steps are then followed by Georges'. They both walked to the nearest coffee shop and entered. Georges find a seat for two. Both of them seated. Father Trennes looked away from Georges while Georges was looking at him. They were silent the whole time as if they were in a library. The waiter went for them and asked their order. The waiter's action immediately break off their silence. Father Trennes and Georges looked at each other's eyes. For a second of glances, Georges said "One cup of tea for me please, and for you Father?". The Father was unable to speak but he looked at the menu given to him by the waiter. Father Trennes ordered "One Café serré". The waiter wrote their orders and leave. Another waiter went to their seats and gave them a water, and it is for free. In silence, they waited for their order.
Finally, the waiter come to their seats and gave their reserves. He put down the tea and the coffee in the table. Father Trennes talked to the waiter and asked already for the bill without even finishing their drinks. The waiter said the bill and Father Trennes grabbed his wallet and paid for both orders. The waiter gave him the receipt and went to the counter. Father Trennes, took a sip of his Café serré. He put his drink down and said, almost emotionless, "My deepest condolences Georges." It seems hopeless for Georges to speak but he replied, "Thank you for being here Father."
They both drink their drinks until it's almost done.
"I have read your letter for me..." Father Trennes said and Georges breaks his sentence by saying, "So as I Father. Thank you for the greeting by the way." Father Trennes nodded.
"So you're already hired to a new school? That's great for you, Father" Georges said.
Father Trennes replied,
"Oui, yes. It was a nice school, I should say."
Georges continued to ask, "So, how was your experience in that school?"
Father Trennes shut and was shocked. He then said that it's the same system, same academic, but it's just a new environment. New students are there of course and new teachers. He said that it's fine, he's gonna make memories in that school.
"This time, I promise, I won't get caught.", He said.
Georges responded in a disappointed face.
"No Father, that's not it. You promise that you wouldn't do that again."
Father Trennes replied, "Georges, you were hindered to the friendship you're in because they didn't allowed you", he stopped.
"But you still continued making his promise, and provided yourself happiness by thoughts of him."
Georges was left astound. He didn't speak for a minute. He then said, "Father, we're in a different situation. Unfortunately, mine, ended tragically. I think, the only thing similar is our passion. Another one is that we both threatened each other."
"Whatever it is father, you are forgiven, so as I, and so as Alexandre. Do what makes your heart happy." He added."I received your letter Alexandre. I didn't know what was that for but... I think you're concerned.", Father Trennes consciously said.
"Dear Father Trennes,
It's my birthday today. I wonder how are you doing now. I hope you're fine. I don't know if you know the news but Alexandre already passed. And it was so heavy for me Father and I don't know what to do. I'm all suffocated with my own tears. I am sorry father that you got expelled because of me. If you would mind Father, can we meet on July 21st, near my house? I know that you know how I feel. You know every secrets of the corner of my truth. And you'll be a big help for my breaking heart. I got your address from the book given to me by the school, where teacher's informations are written. Thank you father. Merci!
From: Georges de Sarre"
This what's written in his letter.
"I know I can't do anything to bring back Alexandre. I even caused part of his death. But I wanna be here with you. You're a strong and wise man, Georges", Father Trennes stated.
Georges was out of words to say and he just smiled a bit to signaled that he understood and he is thankful. Georges drunk his tea so as Father Trennes' coffee. When they're done, they fixed their selves and stand up. Father Trennes said to him, "Georges, I have something to tell you..."
Georges halted and looked at Father Trennes-What is it father?"
Trennes sighed as if he's too nervous to speak. He then continued, "I will tell it to you when we got to our next destination."
Georges nodded and both left the coffee shop.
