"Georges de Sarre!"
Georges woke up and opened his eyes. Someone called his name and it was loud enough to wake him up. He stands up and looks around. "Who called me? And it's my full name. Neither the teachers would've call me that outside the dormitory." As he gaze the view, he sensed he's in a different place. It was a very nature bound place. He woke up laying from the grass. There were fields of hyacinths, lilies and roses. All were beautiful and seems undying. He looked up and nothing was to see there. Empty sky: it wasn't even considered a sky because it doesn't seem to. It's just a void of light. He check himself, and he's wearing a suit. He holds his tie and suit to make sure it's real. He was shaking in shock. Georges thought he was dead. And he had been transferred to the afterlife. The fear in him intensifies realizing that he's there, with himself and just a field of flowers. Not even a butterfly is seen. He thought of dying, and living for eternity there, alone, without the company of anyone. The place, wasn't peaceful for him as it was lonely. He tried to find something or someone. On the other end of the garden-like place, he saw a silhouette of a child picking up some flowers. The child went inside the hut near the fields of hyacinths. Georges saw smokes coming from the window of the hut. Indeed, it resembles a core memory in Georges' head. The hyacinths, the hut, the boy and the smoke. He ran towards the hut hoping to see someone.Coming out from the hut, a boy with a very innocent look, pleasant and gentle face, straight stance and brown-haired boy appeared to him. He stands still and walk outside the hut. He walked in front of Georges and stared at him. The boy's face was in a blank expression. Neither happy, sad or immaculate. The boy looked at Georges from toe to head. After that glance, he looked into Georges' eye and smirked. Georges couldn't get a right feeling to feel that time. He's astounded and stared at the boy too. He felt unable to move for a second due to what he is feeling. The boy he saw, was an angel in disguise, an angel sent from the heavens above, and he was called Alexandre. Georges' face was left in awe, in sadness, in happiness, in tears and in love. His soul cannot choose what emotions he would show. Georges felt his heartstrings tearing apart but healing at the same time. Alexandre burst in tears with an unknown feeling. The boy, Alexandre, ran inside the hut like a kid and gladly watched Georges in the window. His face rests in his hand. As he look in Georges, he grinned.
Georges' adrenaline rush made him run so fast to the boy. He wanted to hug him so badly and didn't want to let go. He run as fast as he could. While running, he fell. There was a wooden sign in which its foundation is buried in the ground. He fell to the grasses, on his knees, crying. He fixed his self immediately but before running, he wanted to read the sign first. The sign has a word written on it "paradis" (paradise in english). It's in a very big and bold lettering. Under the word, his full name is written on it. He was stunned but his awe was disrupted to the fact that it's his chance to see and feel Georges' embrace again so started to continue running. Whether he's dead or not, he would do anything just to be with his Alexandre again. He didn't mind waking up in the real-life or not. He ran with an indeniably great speed, but the more he gets faster, the father the hut seems, the farther the hut goes. He stopped and gasped for air. His face was molded into hopelessness. It really seemed hopeless. He couldn't do anything but to wail his feelings. He cried so loud since no one is there but him and Alexandre. He wept and shouted and screamed on top of his head, almost ruining his throat. He realized that the opportunity was near his hand, but fate keeps pulling it away from him. He had the opportunity but was still refused of taking chances. Georges de Sarre, confused, crying, in the middle of nowhere, alone. He felt his chest thundering again and cried on his knees. He layed his face down crying and sobbing everything he can in the grass. He unconsciously layed down facing his chest on the ground and lets everything out.
Georges woke up from slumber. As his consciousness came back, he took a very heavy and deep breath. He's feeling so tired and his chest seems to give up like he was underwater for a minute. He woke up from his room, nothing's changed, everything was locked and it was him and Alexandre's picture. He suddenly sweats intensely. Georges' vision was so obscure. Was it a dream or was it a different story to tell? He felt so uncertain for a long time. He doesn't know if it was real, maybe it was a nightmare. He wanted, atleast to feel that moment, when he saw Alexandre,(he decided to just look at him to seize the moment and that was what he was waiting for), but at the same time, he doesn't wanna go. "If afterlife wouldn't permit me in getting close to holding Alex, I would rather live forever." Georges said. The vision wasn't clear but he knows what he felt and knows what he saw. It's a combination of longing, being hopelessly hopeful and grief, in a single dish. Georges got up of bed rapidly, unlocked the room and went down to unwind. He seem to doesn't like to feel that longing sensation again, but he was happy with what he experienced. As he went downstairs, his mom came to meet him. "Georges, our lunch meal is ready. We need to eat now honey.", Georges' mom said. He eventually sit on his chair and wiped his sweats. His parents gather in the table and before eating, a prayer was recited. At the last part of the prayer, his mom added, "and may souls that haven't yet, found their light, may have come to see you". That was a different move but he commended it. Everything was relieved when he got out of bed and be with his family. His dream, there, he was almost solitary. They started to eat the foods prepared for them. While eating, Georges' mother casually started the conversation with,
"It's currently holiday break, what are your plans? Or do you have any?". The table became silent and after a second of silence, Georges answered,
"Unwind. I'm gonna do some self unwinding mom, alone. If you would allow me. I'm already a grown man so you don't need to worry about me. I'm planning to go on somewhere I haven't think of, yet, alone. Do some self explorations and gain motivations."
His mom was surprised by his answer, it was unusual but its shouts development. His mother replied,
"Ow sure Georges. You're 15. You've been gone in a lot of struggles already and you know how to cope with them. I won't doubt with you Georges. Just promise to be careful, okay?"
Georges nodded. The lunch continued while Georges' family is talking about how their week goes and reminiscing some embarrassing moments. It was a bit hard for Georges to swallow foods since he's still in a state of shock but he got through it and put foods into his stomach. After a minute of eating and chit-chats, he went up to his room and get his Astronomy book. Georges went outside and draw to the nearest tree he saw. He sat under it and opened the book. He turned the papers to the page he stopped and continue reading.
"How did I felt happiness and fear at the same time? I guess I was scared because of a new environment, quiet and alone. I know... I was only happy because I got to see my boy, Alexandre."
