                                                                  ****Seven Months Later****

Life with Bucky and Steve as friends with benefits has been wonderful. It's been months since I moved into the compound and up until now, I'd been seen as a recruitment with level one access to basically everything. Today I moved to level six, like the rest of the avengers because I finally passed all the trials and tests they had for me. I had to learn hand to hand combat, at least a more extensive version than I already knew- I had to learn how to be a spy, again I knew that much, and then I had to learn how to run a few computer programs in case I needed to download information during an op, that was difficult.

Today is the day that I put all that into action. My first day as an official Avengers on an official mission.

Stretchy black suit on, a couple of gadgets and first aid supplies in my belt. I'm ready for this shit.

"Quit starin' at yourself and get on the jet,'' Bucky called out from the doorway of the locker room, his eyes rolling as he spoke. "You look hot, we all know it- blah blah- get a move on."

"Watch it," I raise a finger and an eyebrow. "You won't be allowed to strip this off if you mock it."

"It's Steve's turn so-" he shrugged his shoulders as if it didn't bother him and honestly it didn't, the weird friendship I have come to find out that he and Steve have, there is no room for jealousy, just mutual respect and happiness for the other. Well, on Bucky's part anyway- Steve gets a little jelly sometimes. I think it's because I'm his first, but then again it could just be old habits dying hard.

"I love how you guys made a schedule," I responded dully, shaking my head so that my loose ponytail swings back and forth as I walk past him and down to the hanger with him at my side.

"It's easier," Bucky explained, glancing down at his waist to make sure his belt was secure. "No one gets left out."

"I'm pretty sure there are a few people left out that would want a piece of this pie," I smirk and toss him a wink as I lower my head instinctively to climb onto the ramp, not like I'd hit my head.

"Sucks for them, your ours," Bucky nearly growled, ah there is the jealousy- with others. Both Bucky and Steve disliked it strongly if anyone else so much as looked at me for too long, which definitely made them an easy target for Sam's teasing. Everyone knew, no one really cared, but everyone gave them shit.

"Ohh, sexy," I smirked, ignoring the furrowed brows of Wanda as I walked by. She thought it was weird but she didn't ever say anything out loud, but I'm pretty sure she thought I was a slut from day one.

Totally am, not denying that one.

"Takeoff in five," Natasha called out from the pilot's seat, her eyes landed on me and she gave a curt nod before turning back to talk to Clint about piloting a plane or something.

"You remember the details?" I turned at the sound of Steve's voice behind me, he stood in his skintight dark blue captain america suit that fit him oh so well.

"Yep," I nod my head slowly, raking my eyes from bottom to top before giving him a wink.

He flushed, like he does every time I do it. You would think after the things we've done, some things I've shown him, he wouldn't be so embarrassed by something like me checking him out.

"You and Wanda are on separate teams," he shook away the embarrassment, trying to maintain his Captain America persona.

If they only knew how I had completely destroyed his wholesome image.

"I'm with you, Bucky, Nat, Clint, Scott and Sam," I recalled the meeting earlier, each team was stacked with both supers and advanced folks, we would be taking a Hydra base from both sides. Air support by Sam and Tony would provide intel as well as take out anything on the roof. Every available Avengers was needed because it was a large base with many enemies behind the line and several hostages in the form of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents and civilians. "We front the north, we disable as many Hydra agents as possible and recover the hostages. Bruce stays in the quinjet in case of a code green is called."

"What about Tony's team?" he questions, I guess to make sure I was listening. He didn't want me to screw up my very first mission. He didn't think I would but he was nervous for me.

"Wanda, Vision, Iron Man, Thor, Spiderman and War Machine will be taking the south, they are to disable and recover, Tony is in charge of hard drives so he will be going there while the rest of the Tony team deploys sweep maneuvers."

"Where is the rendezvous point?" he asked.

"Three clicks east, where the helicarrier will land and aid in recovery of the hostages," I recite, raising an eyebrow while my hands slid to my waist. "Did I forget anything, Captain?"

He growled, actually growled at me. A smirk landed on his lips before he shook his head and turned away, heading towards the front where Natasha and Clint were.

"I think you impressed him," Bucky chuckled from beside me, his hands in his jacket pockets as he had watched the scene unfold, I grinned over at him and smacked his stomach with the back of my hand. "Okay, fine you impressed me too."

"Sure, it's really impressive to actually listen," I rolled my eyes as I turned to sit in one of the seats against the wall of the jet.

"Are you nervous?" he asked as he sat down beside me, his eyes lazily finding mine once I looked up and sighed heavily, shrugging one shoulder.

Natasha called out that we were lifting off, and she pulled it off without a hitch.

"I've been in situations like these before," my cheek flinched as my teeth began to clench. "I'm usually by myself, I don't have to worry about anyone else. That's what I'm nervous about."

"Do not worry about us," his voice was stern, his hand found mine and squeezed it tight in my lap before intertwining. "That will get you hurt, or worse. You focus, protect yourself."

"Alright," I relent, rolling my eyes. He had come to learn that I'm hard headed, and I don't listen. He also realized how big of a heart I have.

"You'll do fine, doll," he promised and we flew in silence, his hand in mine, occasionally rubbing the back of my hand with his thumb.

"Two minutes till touchdown," Natasha called out, surprising me from the blank headspace I had put myself in. I wasn't really thinking of anything, just staring at the floor below my feet.

"Ready?" Bucky squeezed my hand, making my eyes climb to his. The gentle blue calmed my nerves a little.

What if he gets hurt? What if Steve gets hurt? Oh fuck, stop it Romani, even though you've fallen head over heels in love you can't admit it yet.

"As I'll ever be," I all but squeezed it out, standing as the jet landed quietly on the ground and everyone began to stand and head to the ramp that was slowly lowering, letting the bright light in. He handed me a com earpiece and I shoved it in my ear.

"Just stick with me," he nodded his head before walking ahead of me, I glanced to my left and saw Steve sliding up beside me.

"You're gonna do great, sweetheart," he whispered, reaching around me lovingly to rub my arm before walking past me. Shy little Captain, not one for much PDA.

Focus, bitch. You have to impress the hell out of these folks on your first mission. Don't let dick get into your head.

"Teams, divide," Steve commanded, and all of you split into two groups and began bounding through the bright snow filled landscape, I don't know how we ended up in Russia so quickly but the change in temperature from New York to here was nearly shock inducing as the cold set in through the thick black suit.
