✦•······················•✦•······················•✦

a low, gibbous moon hung lowly in the sky's canvas the night you planned to murder kazutora hanemiya.

making use of your many sources, it hadn't taken long at all to discover the date of his prison release—nor his address, information about his family, his date of birth, and his school, mizo middle.

from the moment the final dismissal bell blared throughout the bustling building, the unknowing dual-haired boy had gone about his day with blissful ignorance of the trained assassin lingering within 30-feet of him at all times. tailing his every step; from the moment he left school, to the moment he eventually wandered out of his home in a big, cream-colored gang jacket with his hands shoved in the pockets, golden eyes glancing around suspiciously.

your entire body straightened at his appearance, back leaving the brick wall it previously rested against across the street from him. black ink splayed across his neck in the form of a tiger, his blond-streaked hair resting against it in a messy wolfcut.

your arms uncrossed and fell to your side as he threw his leg over his bike and set off with a destination unknown to you.

perking up with the grace of opportunity, you quickly began tailing him on your own, identity veiled by the full-face helmet you usually ignored in the corner of your room. his confident, lazy turns told you that he wasn't aware of your presence, nor was he unnerved by the city life after being absent from it for the last two years.

eventually, kazutora pulled up against the sidewalk, hopping off his bike with an excited glint in his amber hues as his single, bell-like earring jingled with each step. close behind, (but not close enough to be remarked as suspicious), you parked nearby, watching carefully as the boy slipped into a back alley, disappearing from your view.

so he's meeting someone, you realized. and wearing the jacket of his latest gang—perhaps he could be meeting with one of their members.

unfortunately, your intel only stretched so far given that kazutora had been separate from society for so long. his underlying intentions were unknown, but the fact he was so hasty to join a gang that wasn't toman so soon after being released from prison left you with a bad taste in your mouth. a vengeful taste.

either way, he was definitely plotting something; this sudden and mysterious meeting that had slipped under your radar confirmed that.

you were careful not to make a single noise as you pressed your back against the entrance to the dark alley, senses heightening as you tuned into every little noise and movement. silence.

'so he's alone, meaning the person he wanted to meet with hasn't arrived yet.' you glanced around the corner, confirming your suspicions. kazutora stood leaning against the building with his phone in his hands, looking down at the screen. ever so clueless. 'my, could you get any easier, hanemiya...?'

this was the boy who had mindlessly killed mikey's brother and hero, creating a darkness in him that was incurable, even with the help of time. despite living out those two years in prison, the moment he was released, he immediately began conspiring against toman, which meant he hadn't taken the opportunity to change, either.
