Meeting My Other Half

🎵And I, wish we didn't say goodbye 'Cause we're just standing still, And I don't really know what tomorrow holds, But I've, I've finally realised, If this is our last goodbye until we're gone, Who cares about the wrongs we've 'caused ourselves, 'Cause I don't wanna watch the world end with someone else🎵

*Chishiya's POV*

-beep, beep-

7 am on the dot, I released a groan and forced myself to get out of bed. Once up I headed straight for the kitchen to make a coffee. To my surprise, there was already a mug placed on the table next to a blueberry muffin. Next to that was a note written in my mother's handwriting, it read;

Have a wonderful day at school baby, I'm sorry I can't be home to see you off but there was a work emergency, enjoy your breakfast and be safe.

P.s. be careful not to break everyone's heart, guys and gals included ;)

I chuckled at my mother's silly behaviour and just as I was going to sit and eat I realised the time and decided to place my coffee in a thermos and take the muffin to go. Grabbing my keys I grabbed a beanie and headed out toward school.

Once I reached school, I pulled my phone out of my pocket to check the email from the admission team as to where I was supposed to go, my attention was all on my phone as I was walking and so I didn't react quick enough to when someone suddenly came rushing down the hall and ended up crashing right into me and causing both of us to fall to the floor as well as my coffee to spill all over my hoodie. I groaned, 'well that's a damn shame I like this hoodie' I thought before I realised, he was talking, "Oh shit sorry", he whispered "I didn't see you there and now your hoodie is ruined" I sent a smile his way and responded that it wasn't something to worry about too much, to which he quickly averted his eyes and looked down, but I noticed that his cheeks were tinted red.

Once I got up, I offered my hand and pulled him up, "I'm Chishiya by the way. Chishiya Shintaro, and you are?" he smiled shyly and bowed his head slightly before stating, "l am N- "

"NIRAGI SUGURU! YOU WON'T GET AWAY FROM ME THAT EASILY!" Someone shouted from the end of the hallway. I turned to him, but he was already grabbing his stuff, "umm bye see ya around" I nodded before he dashed away and the person from earlier chased after him.

What a strange encounter, but on another note why was he like the most precious-looking human ever.

Later that day I was introduced to my lessons and teachers, first was Art class with Mr Hiroshi, the man at the office had a student lead me to the classroom so I wouldn't get lost.

When I entered, all eyes were on me. As though the teacher could feel my discomfort, he walked over to me and announced, "ahhhh, you must be my new student, welcome. Come introduce yourself, I'm Mr Hiroshi, but just call me Mr H." I nodded and stood at the front of the class.

"Hi, my name is Chishiya Shintaro, and I'm majoring in Art and Music." I smiled and bowed slightly to Mr H who told me to head to my seat which was at the back near the window.  As I was walking, I heard some of the students whispering, 'ohh he's good-looking, I hope he's single.' I chuckled silently and reached my seat. Once I sat down, he began his lesson and I was just taking in the classroom when I heard someone trying to grab my attention, I turned towards the sound and was shocked to see the guy who bumped into me the other day.

He shyly smiled at me and said, "Hey, I'm... glad I found you, I just wanted to say that I'm sorry... sorry for yesterday and for not introducing myself earlier, I'm Niragi Suguru." He seemed very scared to be talking to me, I chuckled,

"Don't worry about it, although if you really want to make it up, you could replace my favourite hoodie." He could sense the humour in my words and smiled back at me,

"I may just take you up on that if it results in an ice cream date?" His straightforwardness surprised me all of a sudden, but I wasn't going to back down.

"Sure! Sounds great but I'm paying." We stopped talking to resume listening to Mr H teach his art lesson. As we turned I heard him whisper, 'we'll see about that.'

There was something intriguing about Niragi and I was quite excited to learn what that was.

*Later that day*

The end of the day had finally arrived and I was walking to my locker to grab my bag and head home, I reached in and grabbed it, just as I was closing it a piece of paper slipped out and it had a number written on it, at the bottom it was signed off with Niragi's name in his adorable handwriting with a little kiss by it. I placed it in my pocket and headed home.

When I got in my mum was at the table in the kitchen sorting through the mail. She heard me walk in a called, "Hey baby! How was school today, did you find everything alright?"

"Hi. Yeah everything was alright and the school seems nice, I'm excited really." She smiled at my words,

"That makes me so happy, but I feel like you aren't telling me something like why you are so smiley today. Did something happen?" She smirked at me as though suggesting something. God, sometimes I wish she didn't know me so well.

I went to sit at the table with her and explained everything that happened with Niragi today and my mother sat there squealing every time I mentioned something about the way he smiled at me. By the end, I was able to head to my room but not before promising her I would invite him round to meet her eventually.

We were almost not prepared for what we had gotten ourselves into from that day forward.
