Flashback- Why We Ended..

*Chishiya's POV*

It was Tuesday today and I had a free period after break time, I was sitting in Mr H's classroom, it was empty, and I decided I wanted to come in and work on my art project. This space kind of became Niragi and I's hang-out spot, considering Mr H never minded us sitting in here and eating lunch or just hanging around.

I was struggling with what I wanted to do for my project considering the concept was so ambiguous: create a self-portrait that showcases both sides of your personalities in different ways, and up till now I had only the first portrait done. Just as I was losing hope, I got a text notification.

I grabbed my phone and saw who had texted me; My Niri 💕, I smiled and opened the message, it read as such, 'Hi C. Can I come round yours tonight, I need to talk to you? x'

There was a lot that was wrong with this message, firstly he called me 'C' rather than baby or Taro like he normally does.  As well as this, the fact he said he 'needs to talk to me' is odd as that can't be about something good, the last factor was he ended the text with only one kiss and that's definitely different to the normally extra number of kisses.

All those should have been warning enough for me and given me some indication as to what was wrong, but nothing could allow me to predict what he actually said.

*Change to house setting*

I was at home in my bed when my mum yelled up, "Baby! Niragi is here!" I responded and she sent him up. Niragi walked in through the open door of my room wearing a hoodie covering his face, his arms were in their sweater paws and quickly he hugged me nuzzling his head in my neck at the same time.

He didn't say anything, and I could tell something was up. When he pulled away, I went to remove his hoodie, but he wouldn't let me, he just moved to my bed and lay there. I joined him and he lay in my arms for a while before I suddenly felt him shaking against me and I could feel his tears seeping through my t-shirt, my baby was crying, and I had no idea as to why. "Niri, baby, what's wrong?" He didn't answer. "Look at me... please," hesitantly, he lifted his head and removed his hoodie and I saw why he wasn't looking at me before, he had a black eye covering the entirety of his left eye and cuts on his cheek and lip. Gently, I removed his glasses to get a better look at his injuries.

"Who did this to you? It couldn't have been the guys at school, they normally just tease you... was it...? you know what it doesn't matter, just sit up so I can clean it." He nods and I proceed to stand up and grab my first aid box (this has happened many times before and so keeping a kit was important) and started by applying ointment to his eye. He winces, "I'm sorry baby, just a little longer." I finish up his eye and the remaining cuts, once I'm done, I place a gentle kiss on his cheek letting my lips linger there for a moment. He smiled slightly and I leaned in to peck his lips, but he turned away from me.

Clearly, something was still bothering him from the fact he rejected my kiss, I was about to ask what was wrong, but he began talking.

"Chishiya. I need to tell you something." He said blankly.

"Yeah okay, I'm listening baby" I replied waiting for his answer whilst rubbing my thumb against his hands.

He pulled his hands away from mine. "We need to break up." He said coldly.

I was shocked and speechless.

I remember asking him why it was so out of the blue, but he just replied that it was better for both of us and then he left apologising. We didn't speak much after that, and I later found out he had transferred to a different school.
