The man held Gregory's hand lightly as they walked cautiously through forest looking for Cecil. Gregory had not agreed to have his hand held, and Sebastian had not asked for permission like Cecil had so kindly done. She had tried to take her hand back subtly several times but none prevailed. It was strange. An odd sort emotion, a type sadness had came upon her, as she remembered she was just a child, and adults would not respond to anything that came from her with true seriousness. The experience gave Gregory questions, such as, what changes within so few years that could stop you taking a fellow human serious? But she had no one to ask.
They saw Cecil between the black trees leaning over the luna radiss's dead body. Blood on his hands. Around his face and up his arm. The arm Cecil had miraculously grown back had once again disappeared.
"Cecil, sweetie, spirit" Sebastian called cautiously "we're coming over."
Cecil said nothing as he pulled the now mashed flesh in the body towards himself. Pilling it up like a pyramid. He took a handful from the top of triangular mound and pressed it into his mouth.
"Ooo that's not right" Sebastian said quietly.
Around Cecil, many tiny green sprouts, like tiny seedlings where growing. Sebastian crouched opposite Cecil. He didn't touch him, just looked.
"Robert wants you." Sebastian said. Cecil looked up red drool dripping from his face.
"And Uncle Sam wants you" Cecil said.
"She on that time of the month?" Sebastian joked. Cecil stopped for a second as his eyes struggled to focus on Sebastian. He sat back on his butt and wiped the drool from his mouth.
"Do I know you?" Cecil asked. Then his eyes looked back to pile of meat. His eyes widened again and his fingers etched out stretching for the meat.
"We met once, you were a little younger and smaller. You didn't eat people then."
"Robert wants me?" Cecil asked.
"Yes" Sebastian nodded keenly.
"Does it look like I'm on roll call? We may be on the same side of the war when it comes to it, but I don't fucking know him." Cecil growled his eyes never leaving the meat.
"Think of him as an uncle. Technically Sam and Robert were adopted siblings."
"Oh man, oh man" Cecil said sitting back, putting more and more meat on his lap "that's the set up to some incest right there."
"Mm, no trust me Cecil, there's no incest there. But you have to help us" Sebastian said.
"Help you with what?" Cecil asked looking up.
"Chores. Hunting. Myths. We're - we're just two young humans, we need help in this world." Sebastian said.
"Like hell you do" Cecil said and became transfixed again on the meat. He took handfuls of meat and began to rub it in his face, like a scrub.
"We want to bring down one of The Twelve. We've worked it out. Got time. We need a spy and a little help from nature." Sebastian said honestly.
"Like shit" Cecil said backing off from his meal "the fuck I'd wanna do that for? I got enough trouble on myself. Shit get Chaos to help you."
"Like fuck I'm going to find her. Come on, lets talk, I know of a pub." Sebastian said.
"Got a House about here" Cecil said standing shaking every sign of murder of his face. He was back to normal. All but his missing arm.
"I - Cecil - If your house was around here, like, it's not going to exist anymore-" Sebastian tried to say
"I'm fucking sane you bastard. My house is good, so is Gregory. Come on"
