THIRD PERSON POVIt's been four months. Four months since the whole incident, four months since Talia's been in a coma. Every day for four months, her friends and the rest of the family she had left came to visit her, to see how she was doing, -to see any progress. But it has been the same, every time.
It's been nothing but pain and sorrow these past four months for everyone. Especially for Elisha, Eva, and Char. They missed Talia dearly, but they had hope. They had hope that Talia would wake soon, and she would overcome all the terrible things she's been going through this past year.
They were all devastated and heartbroken after hearing everything that's been going on between Talia and Christopher. They hated themselves for not even seeing the signs, not even asking. They hated themselves for even buying that plane ticket.
"What if she never wakes up?" Elisha asked the doctor who came for daily check-ups on Talia.
The doctor took a seat on the spinning chair and placed the clipboard that was in her hand onto the desktop. The doctor turned the chair to face all three of the girls who were currently sulking.
"We have her on oxygen, and she'll be here until she wakes. If we have hope and keep her in our prayers, she will wake up soon," Elisha nods, and so do the other two girls.
"If she does wake up, will there be any side effects?" Evangelia asked the doctor.
The doctor turned back around to look at his computer, before he answered he opened a file of former patients who had come out of comas.
"Some of our cases, at least fifty-five percent, most come out fine, and the rest most likely have memory loss. Usually, they lose up to three to four years of their memories."
Evangelia wondered, would Talia be a part of the rest of the coma patients? Would Talia have her memory? Would she remember them?
They couldn't even imagine Talia not having the memories they had, the new memories they had created, - the memories that Talia had created.
"What did the doctors say?" Ace arose from his seat, and so did James. James rarely came in the mornings; he couldn't bear to see Talia on the hospital bed, connected to all of those machines, -fighting for her dear life.
But he did come in the night, every night. Evangelia explained to both Ace and James what the doctors had to say, and the devastation on their faces grew even worse. While the others had stayed in the main area of the hospital, James had gone back to the room and sat by the side of Talia.
