"That's fucked up man," Reid told James as they sat on top of James car.

James had just finished told him about what had happened between him and his mother, and his brother, and how they had left him with his father and they never came back.

Until now.

James shrugged his shoulders and stared at the dark sky in front of them.

James hadn't seen his brother, nor his mother but that didn't stop them from trying to reach out. But anytime they did, James ignored them.

His mother tried desperately to win him over, sending him gifts on top of gifts. Money, she even bought the car he was sitting on.

James of course, took the car but he returned the rest of the gifts. His mother knew gifts weren't going to be enough, but that didn't mean she would stop trying.

Even Ace.

"I understand where your coming from, with your mother but your brother was just as confused as you were when he had left. I think you both should sit down and talk." Reid spoke, James listened but didn't say anything.

"It's been two years," I peer up, and turn to Eva who had just got done explaining what had happened to the James and Ace's mother.

I shake my head and can't help but feel empathy. Now I knew why James, always wore that ring with his mothers name on it.

I had no idea she had passed.

"We host something every year, for her death. Last year, James didn't attend but I was hoping with your help, you could convince him."

I'm not sure how I could so. Convincing James wouldn't be as easy and everyone knew that.

I nod slowly and stand to my feet. Before Evangelia leaves I give her hug and kiss on the cheek goodbye and walk her to the door.

James wasn't here when I had woken up after we had finally done it. I wasn't surprised, he was an asshole but he could've at least stayed.

But he didn't.

But I also understood. Today was the day that his mother had passed away two years ago, due to cancer. It was truly heartbreaking.

I knew tonight was going to be hard for both James and Ace, and the rest of their family.

I've been pacing back and forth all day in James bedroom, just waiting for him to come and home and bust through the door.

Evangelia had took me and the rest of the girls to get our dresses fitted. I was wearing a red velvet cocktail dress, with red lace gloves.

I took a seat on the side of the bed and stared at the ground while I fiddle with my fingers.

I heard the door creak, which made my ears peek up and my body jump up. It was James standing in the doorway, with his hands stuffed inside his pockets.
