Chapter 14: offer or temptation?

You got to the pizza plex with your uncle and headed to the bosses office when since he asked you to visit him.

You knocked on his door to be polite

"Who is it?"

"It's y/n sir."

"Come in."

You opened his door and walked in and closed it behind you.

"You asked me to meet with you sir. Is this perhaps about what happened yesterday?"

Your boss sighed and covered the upper part of his face with his hand. While looking down

"Yes it is about that. Y/n I'm so sorry you had to go through that, I never expected Samuel to do something so criminal."

You sat down in the chair opposite of him and started talking in a quite sympathetic matter

"Sir you don't need to apologize, there was no way of predicting that. But I think there's more to this meeting than that. Am I right?

Then your boss brightened up, uncovering his face and started smiling.

"Your a clever one y/n. Your right there is something  else I wanted to discuss with you."

"Am I getting fired?"

"Heavens no. Actually quite the opposite. I still want you to work as a daycare assistant but I also want you to perform animatronic checkups. Considering from what I heard yesterday. I also hear that for some odd reason the animatronics respond very well towards you."

"I do spend a lot of my time with them."

You laughed and scratching the back your neck.

"If it's not too much I want you to become the main technician to work on them. I want you to fix them if anything is to break, to do simple checkups before and after shows, check their programs, clean them, etc. I know that's a lot to ask for from a young person like yourself, but so you know you will be getting a much higher pay. I already discussed this with your uncle yesterday before the *clears throat* 'incident' that occurred yesterday."

You got flashbacks and it made your skin crawl. Never in your life you ever saw yours self in that situation. So scared. So weak. So helpless. You had no idea what you would do if eclipse or Vanessa didn't showed up.

"Anyway your uncle was completely fine with it I just need to know if you think you can handle all that. But here is the way the day would usually go. You would mostly likely spend time at the daycare, but when a show is about to start we will call you and you come in and check all the characters, do a quick clean up of them, make sure they're systems are working then you send them off to perform. You won't be alone of course, you'll have another employee or your uncle to help if anything were to go wrong. You will also be a part of team that will fix an animatronic if it breaks or starts acting out of order. After all those things you can return to the daycare."

You thought of all the cons but then the pros

'If I work on the animatronics I will definitely have a higher security card, have access to better equipment, be able to find more parts, learn more about the programs they have, and get a good look at the blueprints! Maybe even some for animatronics that aren't in commission anymore like bonnie!'

But you still weren't sure you just started working yesterday. We're you really this prepared to take on a job this big and important

"If it's not to much to ask...may I have some time to think about it?"

"Of course. I honestly should've waited for a better time. You just started working yesterday and went through something horrible. Take as much time as you need. You may go to the daycare and clock in but before you go, Vanessa suggested I give you this."
