Chapter 31: Power of One - The Legendary Birds

It was ten at night. Ash Ketchum, Serena, Pikachu and Togepi were at the banquet hall drinking juice. Rest of them went to the Pokémon Centre trying to take a rest. Serena told Ash that he needed to take rest, but Ash wanted enjoy the scenery, which Serena couldn't say no.

"The last time we were together like this was at St.Victoria," Serena said.

"Yes, that was like months ago. Strange we weren't dating more often," Ash nodded.

Serena was glad that she got time with Ash on this beautiful island. However, there was one person that was bothering Serena and that person is Melody. She kissed Ash's cheek which was uncalled for and ironically flirting with Ash.

They raised their eyebrows in confusion as they heard footsteps behind them. This was kinda creepy considering they were Ash, Serena, Pikachu, Togepi and waiter in the banquet. Ash and Serena turned around to see none other than Melody.

"Melody," Ash muttered once he saw her.

"Hey, Chosen One. What's up?" Melody asked him with a wink and turned to Serena. "How are you, Serena?"

"Hmph, fine," Serena annoyingly replied. "Why are you here anyway?"

"I'm just here to gather my things from the show tonight before I go to bed," Melody replied.

"Oh," Ash replied in monotone.

This was kinda awkward moment for Ash. Serena really don't like Melody because of the kiss she gave to Ash. Plus, Melody is definitely trying to flirt with Ash here and make Serena mad at the same time.

"You know, I want to talk to Serena. Girl to Girl," Melody suggested.

Serena looked at her in surprise. What is Melody trying to say. Is she going to ask for forgiveness or is just another tease? Either way Serena nodded and followed Melody where Ash can't hear, but he is still there on their sight.

"Look, I'm sorry that I kissed your boyfriend. It wasn't intentional," Melody apologized.

"That's all you have to say?" Serena asked with her arm crossed. "Imagine, just imagine that Ash slightly felt for you."

Melody looked at Serena who had serious facial expression. Sometimes the partner can fall in love with another person which can be the most heartbreaking thing ever. As for now, Ash doesn't seem to be in that situation as for now.

"I really don't know how this feels, I really don't, but I'm sorry. That's the only thing I can say right now," Melody said.

"What are they talking about?" Ash asked himself.

Meanwhile, Pikachu and Togepi are seems to be concerned about something. They were looking at the sea in distant. It almost feels something extremely terrible thing is going to happen.

"Just don't talk to Ash, please," Serena suggested.

"Look Serena, I have to guide Ash for the ceremonial and there's nothing you can do about it," Melody said with stare.

Serena was kinda getting Melody on her nerves, but decided to stay calm. She didn't want to alarm Ash and Pikachu, and especially Togepi.

"Man, they are probably talking about the...kiss, don't they," Ash sighed.

"Chu," it sighed as well.

"I don't want ceremonial to go to waste, I want everyone to be happy," Ash said to Pikachu and Togepi. "I'm going alone."
