Chapter 14: Kisses And Promises

Elina POV

I was heading back to my room but someone pulled me inside another room.

The another room belonged to Edward.

And the someone was Edward too.

"Edward?"

He closed the door and made me stand against the table nearby.

"Now."

I blinked my eyes confused.

"What?"

"What makes you think you're a responsibility for us?"

He asked putting his hands on either of my sides on the table, trapping me.

This position was something i always wanted to experience ever since highschool.

But i couldn't. And that's okay.

"Mmm.. Edward... I don't wanna talk about that."

I looked everywhere but Edward.

He cupped my cheek and turned my head towards him, his touch was surprisingly soft and gentle.

"Tell me.. why do you wanna leave us? Am i that bad?"

I gasped softly.

He misinterpreted my words! I don't wanna leave him!

I was speechless.

Is the Edward upset cuz i am leaving?

I really wanted to laugh out loud.

"No! Never! You aren't bad."

I pouted a little.

"Edward look at you.. these bruises on your hands..these are all because of me."

"How?"

"Those mafias are chasing me, and to get me they are hurting you...just cause of a small misunderstanding.. cause of that one night.. those creeps are trying to harm you guys.. it feel so wrong.."

I spoke. He didn't interrupt me as i continued.

"I don't like that you are getting hurt Edward.. if they manage to get me or something, let it be. Don't come for my rescue."

"We are a team and that is why we protect each other alright? Why the fuck are you overthinking?"

"I'm not! I'm worried about you!"

"And we are worried about you."

He cut me off.

I sighed. I didn't know what to say anymore.

"Look, in a way you are protecting us too. That day we could break in the house because of your skills. You are not useless alright?"

He said, trying to convince me.

He got a point.

I nodded in response.

"Good. Now if you say some nonsense bullshit again, I'll kiss you."
