We climbed up the pieces of wood that were nailed to the tree deftly and made our way into the treehouse. Everything was still intact from 2 months ago. Things like our toys, books, some of our pictures in frames, the decorations and even our heights that we've been measuring since we found this tree house 1 year and 4 months ago.

We were both 9 at the time and now we're 10, turning 11 on February 18 –my birthday- and February 20 –Elias' birthday. Since my mom and his mom were best friends since high school, they thought it would be cool to get pregnant together and that's exactly what they did. Sadly, my dad wasn't able to stick around for long after my birth. I do miss him but since I didn't really get to spend time with him, I don't miss him as much as my mom does. She used to cry almost every day and Mr. and Mrs. Ellison, Elias' parents, had to take care of me for some time until she got better. I used to wonder why my mom didn't get re-married but she said that it's because there is no one else in the world for her other than my dad.

"Ok, let's get started before I succumb to my strong urge to procrastinate," Elias said while taking out his math book with me doing the same. Surprisingly, we did 1 hour of work and then we took a break afterwards playing a bunch of games until it was time to go back home for dinner.

"Mom! I'm home!" I called out to my mom that was busy in the kitchen.

"Hey sweetie, how was your day?"

"It was great, except for the school part..." mom laughed at this and turned to take out the plates to share our food.

"Hey mom, can Elias sleep over tonight?" I asked her while setting up the table.

"Yeah sure, no problem. As long as you guys go to bed early."

"Ok, thanks mom! I'll be down in a second!" I shouted already half way up the stairs.

"Hey" I texted Elias, getting comfortable so that I can wait for a reply.

Not even a second later, he replied, "Hey"

"Wow, that was fast. You've been waiting on my text, haven't u ;)"

"Haha very funny."

"I know *flashes hair* It's me who said it, of course it would be funny."

"Your hair isn't even long enough??"

"It will be some day..."

"What do u want?"

"Hehe. Come over after you finish dinner. We're having a sleepover."

"Jeez, could've given me a heads up..."

"When have I ever?"

"True...Okay, I'll come over in about 10 minutes."

"Stop lying. I know it's gonna be 30."

"TvT I don't take that long..."

"Yh and I don't have a dad- wait..."

"T-T ...omg...idk whether to laugh or say sorry...I'll just give u a chance to rephrase that..."

"Whatever. So just try to come early okay?"

"Yh, yh I will, don't worry..."

"Ok see u then"

"Yup"

30 minutes after dinner...
