Emiko blinked her eyes for the 17,892nd time today. Her mind was still thinking about the ealier events when she had encountered Hao. After she had come back, the five of them headed to Lilirara's place to spend the night. She had gotten a seperate room much to Ryu's dismay. As she layed down on the white guest mat, Emiko began to twist and turn impatiently. After what seemed like hours all her brain could do was think about Hao and his stupid face. "Hahhhhhhhhhh," Emiko sighed loudly. 'Thinking about Hao any longer is going to give me a migrane,' she thought to herself. "Raitosupiritto?"

"Zzzmt," a soft noise came from her right as a small ball of light appeared.

"Let's go for a walk," Emiko said as she walked out of the guest bedroom.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
They walked out into the forested back yard to see a bright cresent moon high in the sky. As they walked towards the moonlit forest Emiko started to sense someone else's presence. "Raito, do you sense someone too?" she questioned. Raitosupiritto made a sound of agreement as they walked cautiously. Looking around, Emiko saw a bush move out of the corner of her eye. "Who's there!?" she called out. The bush moved again. Raito went forward and shined a bright beam of light towards the hidden figure. A small brown rabbit came hopping out from the bush. "Oh it's just a rabbit," Emiko said with a sigh of relief.
"Zzmtt," Raito hummed with disapproval.
"What's wrong?" Emiko asked confused.
A cold hand grasped her shoulder as a spirit enveloped the rabbit. "You just fell for the oldest trick in the book, Shaman," the male spirit said. More hands grabbed her as she was pulled against a large tree. The spirit wore a black cloak that hooded their face. Their dark skin was dimly lit by the bright moon. The loud noise of chains made its way to her ear as she felt the cold thin metal rap around her, tying her to the tree. "Listen up Shaman, you have two choices. You can either lead me to Hao Asakura or I'll kill you!"
'Hao? What does he want with him?' Emiko thought silently.
"Well?" the spirit asked impatiently.
"Raito!" Emiko shouted as Raitosupiritto skillfully slid in between Emiko and the spirit. A burst of hot light was sent towards the unknown spirit as they screamed out in pain. The chains retreated to wherever they came from as Emi ran behind a large tree. She got herself ready in case she needed to fight. "Who are you!?" she asked loudly while the spirit was still blinded.
"My name is James Vexnardian the IV. Remember my name well, for it will be the last you'll ever hear!" he shouted before cutting the tree Emiko was hiding behind in half.
"Raito, fuse!" she commanded as she pulled out her hidden umbrella. Raitosupiritto fused with the black umbrella creating a dome of light that surrounded her.
"Ahhhhhgggggg!" he cried out in pain. The spirit fled back into the bunnies' body and yelled one last time, "I will make you pay for this!"
After catching her breath, Emiko commented, "That sure was eventful wasn't it?" Raitosupiritto responded with a light buzz as she tousled her hair. 'I wonder what his relation to Hao is,' Emi thought to herself as she leaned against a tree for support. 'Wait, no! The whole point of coming out here was to rid my mind of Hao!' she thought aggressively.
"Bzzzzmtt," Raito sounded.
"Huh?" Emiko questioned.
Suddenly she saw a shadow moving towards the middle of the woods. Slowly, she crept quietly towards the shadow. 'Hao.' She let out a breath she didn't realize she was holding. His hair was in a long pony tail. His gloves and large poncho seemed to be missing as she could see his bare chest and arms. Her face burned a little brighter as she hid herself behind a bush. She quietly murmered a handful of words as Raito fused with her umbrella once again. "Invisible cloak," she whispered quietly as she was covered in a wave of reflective light. She quietly followed him without the fear of being seen.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

'How long is he just gonna sit there?' Emiko asked herself as she watched Hao quietly look towards the sky while he sat at the edge of the cliff. 'I'm getting tired of this,' she thought as she turned to leave.

"Leaving so soon?" he asked. "There's no need to hide yourself any more. Just come out already."

Emiko's blood pumped fast as she slowly turned back towards Hao. Strangely, he wasn't looking in her direction. He was looking somewhere to her right. "Just when I thought you were never going to notice," a deep voice said.
'Male,' she noted.

"So, tell me, what do I owe the pleasure of your company?" Hao asked sarcastically.

"Your life," the man said. Then he charged.

Before Emiko could even turn all the way around, a loud noise filled her ears. The sound of cracking bones and deep screams. "What an amateur," she heard Hao say darkly.

A wave of relief washed over her as she let out a sigh. 'Wait why am I?' The cursed herself in her mind as she glanced once more in Hao's direction. But he was gone...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The next morning Emiko had deep circles under her eyes and a bad attitude to go with it. "Hey sweetheart how's it g-"
Emi turned to glare at Ryu as he jumped back in fear. "Dang, how much sleep did you get Emiko?" Horo horo questioned.
"Not enough," she responded.
"Um ok well," Yoh started as they all ate a quick breakfast, "after we finish eating let's go ahead and head out."
"Sounds good," Emiko commented as everyone gave an agreeing hum. After eating breakfast they all thanked Lilirara and said their goodbyes.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Alright everyone, this is the map Lilirara gave us last night," Yoh held up a brown map for them to see, "currently we're 200 kilometers from the City of Deringo. That's where we'll be headed since there's a good chance the Patch tribes village will still be there."

"Since when did you take the lead? Don't we get a say in this?" Horohoro inquired.

"It was actually my idea," Ren said, "soon enough we'll need a leader, I don't like drawing attention to myself so it couldn't be me. And there's no way I would let one of you two idiots lead us, so that just leaves Yoh since Emiko isn't participating in the Shaman Fight.",

"That's fine we don't want you as a leader either!" Horohoro and Ryu shouted together.

"What was that?" Ren said angrily.

"That's enough let's start walking everyone," Yoh said with a smile.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Are we seriously just going to walk the whole way there?" Emiko asked after a while.
"Well what do you suggest princess?" Horohoro mocked.
"Well if it's all right with you butt face I'm sure my spirit ally would be happy to be of assistance."
"Uh-"
Horohoro tried to speak but Yoh cut him off, "That'd be great Emiko."
"All right everyone hold hands," she instructed.
They all latched on to one another as she opened her umbrella and summoned Kazegafuku. "What can I do for you Miss Emiko?" she asked politely.
