Alex was able to get dressed before me and ran out to see what Jack was hollering about. I threw on my shorts and grabbed one of Alex's t-shirts to save time.

"I'm going to ignore the fact that you two totally just did the dirty and tell you that Roxy needs us. She passed out. Rian called an ambulance but we gotta go."

I bolted back down to the pit where the party was. I hadn't ran this fast since high school. Alex and Jack were behind me but I couldn't hear them over the sound of my feet beating the ground and the blood pumping in my veins.

I reached the pit and noticed that everyone was gathered around in a circle and Jeremy was holding a nearly lifeless Roxy in his lap. I pushed past some guys from a band I didn't know that well and skid to my knees.

"What the hell happened?" I demanded, looking around for anyone who would answer me.

"We were all drinking and dancing and she just gave out. It makes no sense. Her body temperature is normal, her heart rate is regular, and she hasn't drank anymore than any of us have" Jeremy explained.

I moved him so that Roxy was on my lap and studied her closely. I've known Roxy since we were in kids and she's only passed out one other time (with the exception of when she passed out from meeting Pete Wentz.)

It was when we were seniors in school and a guy told her he wouldn't take her to the prom because she was too chubby. She starved herself to get skinnier and make him regret his words but she passed out before we made it to the dance. We ended up spending the night in the hospital where I force fed her pizza and we watched The Lion King.

Roxy wasn't even fat and she never was. She was curvy; with her American thighs and huge boobs. Like who would complain? Looking at her now, I could tell that's what caused this though. Her face did seem slightly sunken in and she was paler. But why? Who said something to her this time?

I sighed dramatically and stood up, letting Roxy hit the dirt. My compassion seemed to lessen when I realized this was just one of her silly and uncalled for meltdowns.

"She hasn't eaten. I don't know exactly when the last time she did eat was but that's what this is about."

Jack and Alex had rejoined the group and pushed their way to the front. Jack walked towards me with his brow furrowed.

"Has she done this before?" He asked.

I nodded and stared down at her. "In high school."

Jack went rigid and his eyes flickered. No matter what happened between them, Jack loved Roxy and would never want to see something bad happen to her.

"But... why?"

The ambulance arrived before I could answer and Jack and Jeremy helped the paramedics get Roxy into the back.

Alex stood behind me and grabbed my hand. His lips rested against the back of my head.

"Should we follow it?" He asked, rubbing my upper arms and bringing me closer to his chest.

Jack reappeared by us and said with a certain force that he was going and wanted us to come too.

Some people had already dispersed and a few others just fell back into a lull of drinking. Rian and Zack said they'd go back to the bus, find the crew, and they'd all wait there until morning. So Alex, Jack, and I all walked out to the main road and found a taxi to take us to the hospital.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Roxy was awake when we got there. Jack called Callie to tell her he'd see her in the morning and they were talking in the waiting room while Alex and I sat with Roxy.

"So why aren't you eating? Who called you fat this time?" I asked, a little too much venom in my voice.

I don't know why I was so mad but I was. I was just so frustrated with her going back to her old habits. But maybe I should be more understanding because I'm sure if I started getting high again, she wouldn't be angry like this with me.

Roxy looked defeated as she picked at a cup of Jell-O the nurses brought her.

"No one... I was just really upset about a lot of things and never felt hungry. Honestly Val, I wasn't trying to hurt myself. I'm sorry."

Her eyes were wide and brimmed with tears. She was being more than sincere and I suddenly felt very guilty. Alex looked at me with a small smile and I got up from my chair to stand beside Roxy. I touched her forehead and half-smiled.

"Really, Roxy? Why must you so adorable?"

Her face lightened up and she wrapped her arms around me.

"I promise, I'm okay."

Roxy wasn't somebody that normally put herself in harm's way and I know if things were that bad, she'd tell me. I let my face rest against the top of her head and squeezed her shoulder.

"But I do have to get back in shape so I look fabulous in my Maid of Honor dress" Roxy joked, pulling away from our embrace to wink at me.

Alex shrank back in his chair, putting his arms behind his head and smiling widely. He's been an even bigger cheesecake since we got engaged; always being sweet and smiling like a goof at any mention of the wedding. It made my heart do flips in my chest and made my own face light up. But I turned my attention back to Roxy before I got lost in a romantic euphoria and kissed the shit out of him in this hospital room.

"Promise me you'll start eating again?"

"Yes. I SWEAR."

"Make me one more promise" I prodded.

Roxy raised an eyebrow and I tapped my chin with a mischievous smile on my lips.

"Go to the wedding with Jeremy."

Roxy turned about as red as her hair and turned away from me.

"Oh, hush you."

I laughed and playfully pushed her arm like we were children. She stuck her tongue out at me and I reached over and flicked it.

"Ow! You slut!"

I doubled over in a giggle fit and she pushed me with all the strength her little string bean body could manage.

"I ship this" Jack said as he walked in, pointing at me and Roxy. Alex laughed and shook his head.

"They're no us."

Jack shrugged and went over to sit on Alex's lap. The Jalex is real guys and it's the gayest and most beautiful ship to ever be shipped.

"That's true. Cutest couple award goes to us and every straight person and lesbian can suck it."

I stared at them and silently wondered why I love them so much.

"Jack, if they're lesbians, they probably don't suck" Roxy implied, cheekily.

Jack's face fell in defeat, as it often did when he tried to crack a joke and everyone laughed. Me and Roxy high-fived and before her hand came back down, I ate a spoonful of her Jell-O. Roxy pushed me again and turned to eat her treat away from my grasp.

My eyes found Alex and he shot me a playful wink, causing my insides to feel similar to the Jell-O.

I'm staying on the ball for you guys!!

So today was rough; senioritis is a serious issue and it's even worse on top of being dead tired.

But anyway!! Whose happy that Roxy is okay? Did you expect that??

Next update; Friday.

Hint; a new character arrives...

Love you all. Xoxo
