"And then we can get married" I declared, wrapping up the plan for my beautiful bride-to-be.

Val sighed and sat her hands in her lap. She looked perplexed and it was worrying me.

"Baby? What are you thinking?"

The boys and Callie were all seated around the living room and Val was front and center, sitting on the coffee table. I was still standing, crouching down to be eye level with Val.

She looked up at me and a smile slowly spread on her face. "Let's do it."

"Woo!"

Everyone in the room cheered. This was cause for celebration.

Val pulled out a bottle of good whiskey we kept in the kitchen and we all decided to play a little drinking game.

It was called "Guess the Song" and Val and Callie had made it up during Warped. We take turns singing a song and everyone tries to guess it. First one who gets it right goes next and everyone else takes a shot.

In a group of band members, a musician's girlfriend/music journalist, and other musician's girlfriend/guitar tech, it was a long lasting game and everyone ended up hammered.

By the end of the night, the bottle we started with and another was long gone and we all knocked out in the living room.

---------------------------------------------------

On Thursday night, Val and I were packing for the trip.

Now when I say packing, I mean getting a bag together for our short time in New York.

Val thinks that means stuffing every outfit she owns in a suitcase and then all her make up and extra needs in another one.

I had half a mind to burn them both and make her go in sweats with just a drawstring bag full of socks and deodorant.

I stared at her bags disapprovingly and she rolled her eyes. "I'm a girl."

Don't I know it.

I smacked her ass and she growled. "Seriously, Alex? You give it so much attention, why don't you just bend me over and get it over with?"

She did not have to tell me twice. I grabbed Val's hips and turned her away from me, curving my hand up her back and causing her to lean over our mattress.

------------------------------------------------

The next day, we all packed up a rented van and headed off. It was one of those vans that churches would get for long trips; rows of seats like a bus and windows lining both sides. Rian had requested that some of the rows get removed and we laid blankets and pillows in the back for sleeping. To top it off, we brought two coolers and a basket full of snacks.

This was what I called roadtripping in style.

"Turn up the tunes!" Callie screamed to Zack.

We had designated him and Rian the main drivers and told Jack if he tried to touch the wheel, we were going to make him sit on his hands the rest of the way.

It was only a three hour drive so maybe our van idea was a tad over the top. But what is All Time Low if not over the top?

Val insisted on laying down so I was curled up in the back with her. Everyone was currently singing Elton John songs at the top of their lungs and normally Val would join in.

She had her face towards the ceiling of the van and was stark quiet.

"What?"

She looked at me through her eyelashes and grabbed my hand. "Just nervous about being near him. The last time...."

Her voice cut off and I touched her face. "Baby, it's okay. You don't have to be near him. But why didn't you just stay at home? Roxy could have stayed over."

"I wanted to see this through to the end, Alex. It involves my wedding now. I needed to be there for this."

We looked at each other in silence and I rubbed my thumb across her cheek slowly.

"Hey, anytime you two want to stop having sex, pass the chips!"

And that's that! For now, of course! Sorry that chapter was short and all over the place. It was definitely a filler. I will be back soon with something more exciting! Maybe sooner than you think!

Again, I love you all! Xoxoxo
