Gyeong-su was not replying to her as cheerfully as he was doing before, so Rosie left his side to give him some space. Woo-jin, Joon-young, and Dae-su were sitting together. She made her way towards them, leaning on the table they were around.
"How are you?" Joon-young asked, pushing his spectacles up his nose when it slipped a little.
Rosie shrugged, the corner of her lips quirking up. "I'm fine. How are you? All of you?"
Dae-su let out a long sigh before Joon-young or Woo-jin could say anything. He looked directly at Rosie, saying, "I just want to get out of here."
There was a silence between them. She took a few steps forward, patting Dae-su on his shoulder. "Don't we all?"
Feeling eyes on her, Rosie turned her face. She spotted Gyeong-su looking at them. As soon as he realized that she noticed him looking their way, he turned around.
"Don't worry," Woo-jin said after he saw Gyeong-su looking away. Rosie turned to look at him, her brows furrowed. "He'll come around."
"I don't understand," she cocked her head to the side, a confused expression adorning her beautiful face. "Why's he acting like this all of a sudden?"
"Well, you did come out of the Recording Room with Bare-su after he was done peeing or whatever he did there," Dae-su said casually, wincing when Joon-young hit him on the back of his head.
"So?" Rosie asked. Even though she was good at reading people, she was always oblivious to people's feelings towards her.
Joon-young shook his head. "Nothing. Dae-su is just being an idiot."
"And don't worry about Gyeong-su," Woo-jin added, "He'll be back to his asshole self after some time."
Rosie nodded uncertainly. "Okay."
"Rosie," Nam-ra approached her. "I was wondering if we could talk?"
"Oh," Rosie stood up straight. "Yeah, sure. What's up?"
Nam-ra looked over Rosie's shoulder where the three boys were staring at her. She cleared her throat, looking back at Rosie. "In private?"
Furrowing her brows, Rosie nodded. She walked to the corner of the room, Nam-ra right behind her.
"I wanted to say thank you," Nam-ra offered Rosie a small smile.
"For what?" Rosie asked with a confused smile.
"For saving my life back there," Nam-ra elaborated, "When Na-yeon tried to stab me."
"Oh, it's okay," Rosie made a careless gesture with her hand. "It's no big deal."
"It is to me," Nam-ra wrapped her arms around her stomach.
"Well," Rosie chuckled awkwardly. "Is this the part where I say ‘my pleasure’?"
Nam-ra chuckled. She looked at the ground before looking at Rosie. "You know, now that I think about it, even I'm not sure what exactly we're supposed to say."
"Right?!" Rosie exclaimed. She glanced at Bare-su before turning to look at Nam-ra. "You should tell him how you feel."
"What, no!" Nam-ra defended, her eyes a little wide. "I don't know what you're talking about. I don't like Bare-su."
"Who said anything about Bare-su?" Rosie smirked.
Nam-ra opened her mouth to say something only to close it back. She looked at Rosie with narrowed eyes before relaxing a little, slumping her shoulders.
"He doesn't like me back," she whispered.
Rosie shook her head, chuckling quietly. "He doesn't like you because he loves you just like you love him."
"Really?" Nam-ra perked up.
"Mhm," Rosie hummed. She patted Nam-ra's shoulder before saying, "You better confess your feelings as soon as possible."
Without giving Nam-ra a chance to say anything, Rosie walked away.
this sucks, and so do i.
