Nam-ra nudged Suhyeok with her shoes, capturing his attention. They were sitting on the chairs, facing the window to admire the empty sky. Their hands were tied together because of Nam-ra being bit by Gwi-nam, making the rest of them wary of the girl. Suhyeok being the gentlemen he was, he took all the responsibility by sticking close to her and tying their hands together.
"What?" he asked softly.
She bobbed her towards towards Rosie and Gyeong-su's direction, speaking, "They look good together, don't they?"
Suhyeok looked at them for a moment before turning back to Nam-ra, answering, "They do."
Nam-ra widened her eyes a fraction, correcting herself as she thought she said it wrong. "Not that I mean you and Rose didn't look good together, you guys did. The perfect. I just mean that –"
Suhyeok chuckled a little, cutting her off, "It's alright. I know what you mean."
Nam-ra let out a relieved sigh, nodding her head. "Good. That's good. I was afraid you'd get offended or take it the wrong way."
He shook his head, getting rid of the thoughts. He settled on not speaking to Nam-ra – or anyone – about this matter. Not that it bothered him in the slightest that his ex-girlfriend was finally opening up and being comfortable around his close friend, but he was worried that her heart would be broken again. It shouldn't bother him, really, he did the same to her, but he couldn't help but still care about her deeply. He knew she took the break-up more badly, that she was more hurt than he was. It made him feel angry at himself that she was taking it worse than him.
"What are you thinking about?" Gyeong-su asked Rosie when he noticed the distant look on her face. He admired her features at first, of course, then he broke her train of thoughts by speaking to her.
"I want to be as beautiful as the ocean," she replied. Her voice was airy, flowing smoothly in the moving air, voice as sweet as honey.
"You already are," he whispered, looking closely at her.
She looked at him, thinking that he was joking, thinking that he just said it to make her feel better. She shook her head, saying, "Lying doesn't look good on you, Gyeong-su."
"But I'm not lying!" he exclaimed, his eyes wide as he heard her accusing him of lying about such a thing. To him, she was the most beautiful person he had ever laid his eyes on. She was pure, pretty, smart, confident – she was everything he admired and adored.
"Okay, okay," she smiled softly, admiring his face. "If you say so. But if you ask me, you're literally the prettiest and handsomest person in this room – and well, around the entire world."
"Yeah, sure," he dismissed her compliment, ignoring his fast heartbeat and trying to get it normal.
"Yah," On-jo disturbed their peace. "You're going to help us get out or not? Or do you want to stay here?"
Honestly, that girl was getting on Rosie's nerve. Just because Suhyeok chose Nam-ra over her doesn't mean that she had to act like a spoiled brat towards everyone. But Rosie held herself, refusing to bring up any drama because of the situation they were in. It'd only make things bad.
"Yeah, I think we're going to sit this one out," Rosie smiled fakely. "But you go ahead. If you need our help, don't bother to call us. We won't come."
On-jo glared at Rosie before stomping away. Gyeong-su looked at the girl beside him in amusement, proud of her.
"What?" she asked, feeling his gaze. Quite honestly, she was beginning to get nervous under his intense gaze. It was already hard for her to not throw herself at him, and his constant staring wasn't helping her case in any manner.
"Nothing," he shook his head with a smile plastered on his face.
"Then why are you looking at me like that?" it was weird – he looked at her weirdly. She couldn't pin what that look was.
"Because you're beautiful," he shrugged. "I enjoy looking at beautiful things."
"Oh my god!" she chuckled in disbelief. Feeling a boost of confidence she never thought she would, she said something she never thought she would.
"If we weren't in the middle of a zombie apocalypse, I swear to god, Gyeong-su, I would've fucked you."
