Whatever it takes

It had been a week since the "incident" and to make sure Alicia wouldn't hate him any more, Max had promised her that he'd take over her shifts whenever she needed. Which, in Aurora's opinion, wasn't exactly a smart choice.

Sebastian had been brewing a plan and giving the group ideas to steal the trophy before the easter eggs (Yes, that's what they liked to call the students of Eastwood). Felix had been practicing his lockpicking skills, which Sebastian forced him to learn from the internet. Max was...not helping to be honest but he was hyping everyone up.

Marcus still thought it was a terrible plan and they'd get caught and decided to focus on studying and let everyone else be. Aurora wasn't very sure of the plan either, but Max obviously pushed her into it. She tried very hard to sneak Crystal in the plan too, which Sebastian refused a lot of times. But eventually, she won. Jacques wasn't always in favor of these things, but surprisingly, he didn't even hesitate to join.

That fine evening, everyone stood around in a circle as Max took a deep breath.
"Guys, this is a very important day. The future of our college depends on it."

"Er-" Mark started but stopped at Max giving him a stern look.

"We have a greater chance to win since it's our college. It all comes down to reputation in the end..." Max added.

"Not this kind of-" Mark interrupted but stopped again after receiving a death glare from Max.

Max sighed, "We only get one shot at this. No mistakes. No do-overs. Look out for each other. This is the fight of our lives. And we're gonna win."

He looked over to his right and smiled at Aurora, who smiled back.
"Whatever it takes", he looked over to Marcus, who shook his head incredulously.

"If you all are done with...whatever the hell just happened. Should we get it going?" Crystal, who was leaning against the table witnessing all this, asked.

Sebastian dramatically gasped, "Don't you dare disrespect Steve!"

"I prefer Bucky anyway", she scrunched her nose.

"She's got a point though", Max remarked.

"Rory, let's go. Leave the losers be." Crystal rolled her eyes.

"You're going with Crystal?" Max widened his eyes at Aurora.

"Yeah-" Rory was about to speak when Crystal interrupted, "Yes, she is, Max."

Sebastian scoffed, "Well, who gave you a ride when your car wasn't working, pRiNcEsS?"

Crystal shot a fake smile at her brother.

"Man, it's getting chilly each day. You sure you still wanna go on your bike?" Marcus asked Felix.

"Nah. I'm good." Felix replied. Felix wouldn't care if the ice age came, he would still never step foot inside a car. Max often joked about how he had a 'car allergy'. Yes, sounds stupid but everyone still laughed.

Aurora seated herself in Crystal's car and so the journey begin. Rory knew Crystal, but she never got the chance to actually talk talk to her. Crystal turned the music on and right after hearing the first beat, Rory's lips turned into the biggest smile.

"You like Taylor Swift?" Aurora asked joyously.

"Like is an understatement", Crystal smirked.

"When I tell you none of the boys listen to her songs! And Max has the most problems." Aurora rolled her eyes.

"Let me guess, he has a crush on Harry Styles..." Crystal shook her head.

Aurora chuckled, "More like obsessed."

"I really don't get the obsession to be honest."

"Me neither! Fine, you can have a celebrity crush but what's with the 'over the top' obsession?"

"Yeah. You'll never see me fangirling this much on Sebastian Stan!"

Aurora glared at her, smiling. Crystal shot a fleeting glance towards her and they both started laughing.

"Okay...I know it sounds weird-" Crystal protested but couldn't speak over Rory laughing uncontrollably.

"I'm sorry-" Aurora said as she barely pulled herself together.

Crystal smiled as she shook her head, "Well, who's your celebrity crush?"

"Pedro Pascal", Aurora replied.

Crystal nodded in agreement as she steered the wheel and looked around for a parking spot.

Aurora opens the car door and takes one step out the car when she hears loud footsteps. She looks around to see Max charging towards her. Before she even had time to react, he opened pulled her in a tight hug.
Aurora patted his back, still confused by what just happened.

"Why are you like this, Max?" Mark walked towards them as everyone else followed behind.

"Well, well, look at that." Sebastian pointed towards his left at a group of people who seemed to be from Eastwood. It seemed normal to Rory until she heard Max's dramatic gasp.

"Is he okay?" Jack asked quietly yet he was baffled.

You could heard the clang of Max's jaw on the floor, and see the worry in his eyes. Felix side eyed him. Mark just looked so done with him.
Aurora didn't understand what was so shocking until she looked in the direction herself and saw the one person Max hasn't shut up about for a week.

Adam whatever the hell his last name is.

"He's an easter egg!?" Aurora stared at Adam, startled.
