"Positions?", Sebastian asked and was replied in the affirmative by everyone.

Aurora and Marcus were near a staircase.

"Well, isn't this exciting?" Aurora rubbed her hands together, looking at Mark.
Mark frowned in her direction, "That is not the word I would use."

"Oh come on, it's our last year. Who knows where we'll be after this?" Aurora remarked as Mark's face suddenly went dim.

"Yeah" he looked away, "who knows."

Jack and Crystal were in a corner, standing some distance apart. Crystal tapped her feet on the ground as Jack glanced at her and looked away from time to time.
"You do that to with everyone or just me?" she asked without looking at him.

Jack looked at her, unable to keep his eyes stable.
"I- I'm sorry."

Crystal grunts, "I didn't ask for apologies, Jake."

"It's actually Jac-" before Jacques could complete the sentence, Crystal shushes him.

Right in front of them were two easter eggs on patrol. Crystal immediately unmuted her phone, "Two easters spotted. Block D."

"Copy", Sebastian remarked, who was with Felix waiting for Max's reply.

Max was outside of the head's office, hiding behind a wall.

"We've got ourselves a situation here, guys."

"What is it?" Jaden, who was with two other guys, asked.

Max scrunched his nose, "Mr. Clark is on guard outside the office."

The speaker immediately felt like a political meeting. Voices overlapping each other, the disappointment could be heard miles away.

Mr. Clark was their not-so-friendly university guard. He was one of the oldest staff members in the whole university and no one, not even the head would mess with that guy. All students knew the Mr. Clark tragedy about his dream join the military which wasn't fulfilled. He became obsessed with the idea of a being a military personnel and started acting like on. Which, to his astonishment, was not accepted kindly by university students under stress and a whole lot of debt. Bottom line, everyone hated him.

"We can never distract him!" Sebastian exclaimed.

"Told you it was a bad idea", Mark said as Rory elbowed him. 'What?', Mark mouthed.

"We'll do it, just cal-", Felix could be heard trying to comfort Seb.

"For crying out loud", Crystal leaned her head against the wall and looked up. Jack sighed.

Max, trying to fathom all the nonsense alone felt a tap on his shoulder. Immediately, all the noise bothering him was almost ignorable because the thing...no, man. A man. The man standing right in front of him was none other than hot-guy-with-accent-from-coffee-shop.
It was as if Max's mind had gone blank, he could only focus on those light brown eyes, Adam looked perfect to him in that moment.

Max was given a reality check when Adam snapped his fingers.

"Owoegh my-" Max was left speechless.

"Keeping an eye out for my pals, I believe?" Adam smiled at Max.

"You're the one to talk, Mr. Creeper." Max squinted.

"Adam", he corrected.

Max tilt his head, "Maximus. Call me Max."

Adam chuckled and spoke, "I remembered you from the-"

"Yeah no, we don't- we really don't have to talk about it." Max cut him off.
Adam blinked and nodded. Max stared at him for a good two minutes.

"I'm not letting you win", Max remarked.

"If I wanted us to win, I wouldn't be here." Adam said in a serious tone.

Max's mind was in a dilemma. What does that mean? Why was Adam there? What was his motive?
He couldn't figure out where to put his trust. "Never trust anyone too quickly, bubble", Rory's voice echoed in his head. Shoo, Rory. Not now.

Adam sighed.

"I know it's hard to believe me but that day at Brew grounds, your friends really caught my eye. I mean, I didn't even know you all were connected till I saw you here today", Adam spoke. "You all feel like a family and in all honesty, I don't really have friends in college."

Max kept starting at Adam, who shrugged.

"You're under scrutiny but for the time being, we need to get past that guard over there." Max points at Mr. Clark.

"Well, does he have any weaknesses we might be aware of?" Adam asked.

"Ugh, literally none! He just fakes being overly religious and really hates-" Max stops his rambling and slowly turned his gaze towards Adam, who looked back in confusion.

Max smirked, "I have a really bad idea."
