On With The Story!

------------------------------

Felicity POV:

I have been working on trying to crack this computer for hours, and I still have nothing: no files, no addresses, no photos, videos, blueprints, plans, lists, conversations, phone numbers, names, nothing. It's almost as if it was brand new or just wiped clean, except those would leave an IP address for who bought it or where it was wiped. This is driving me insane trying to work out this mystery.

After working for another five or ten minutes I look at the time only to realize that I'm late for work. Again. Shit.  I shut both of the computers I was using to try and crack the one that might be connected to Slade. On my way out of the Coffee shop I thank the waitress, tipping heavily for the service and for staying at a table so long, and dial Oliver's number.

RRRRIIINGGGG

RRRRIIIIINNNG

He picks up the phone just as it is about to ring a third time, and answers with his usual greeting for me: "Hey Honey" followed quickly by "have you cracked that computer yet?"

Yes, he calls honey. I do not liked being called babe. It just is not for me.

"No." I respond with a frustrated voice, "I've been working on this for hours and I still can't find anything! It's like it was never used. There isn't even a paper trail for who bought it, a crumb trail for the last thing that was don't on it, or any evidence that the cloud one it was wiped. It would be like if this was the first computer to ever be invented and no one had opened it yet. Anyway, I just realized that I've been so focused on this, that I was supposed to be at work again like an hour ago. Sorry."

"I honestly don't care at all. I would rather have you crack that stupid computer to get a lead on Slade than be here. Although, if you are coming back, can you grab me-"

"A coffee? I already got you one."

"You are seriously the best girlfriend slash assistant ever. I have been working on filling out this stupid paperwork for this deal since this morning, and I am seriously going to need coffee if I am going to finish in time to go on patrol tonight."

"Speaking of tonight, it turns out that today is going to be a day of being late for everything.."

"What do you mean?"

"I know we said that we would meet around 6, and I still might be able to make that, but I forgot that I have a family member in town, and I said that I would meet them for dinner at 5..."

"I didn't know you had a family member in town."

"I know! I completely forgot until 5 minutes ago when they texted me asking where we are meeting up, I am so so sorry! I can be at the arrow cave by 7 at the latest! Maybe even 6:30 if I get out of it fast enough!"

"Felicity! It's fine, family comes first. I would love to meet them if I can.."

"I'll ask, but I mean, it's just my brother, and I'm sure he leaves tomorrow or something."

"Felicity! I didn't even know you HAD a brother. I guess I'm just learning a bunch about you today, aren't I?"

"Don't do that Oliver, I'm not keeping secrets from you on purpose, he just never came up! I haven't talked to him in years! I haven't seen him since he was like, 10! Im not keeping these things from you on purpose! Besides, I recognize that I don't know everything about you, and I'm okay with that because I know that you will tell me when you are ready!"

"Felicity! That is different!"

"Oh right, just like how you keeping secrets is different than John or Sara keeping secrets even though theirs could be as bad as yours? You know what, Oliver, until you can understand where I am coming from, I will drop off your coffee, but I am working from home. Good luck on Patrol tonight, and please stay safe. I might be mad at you, but I still love you and want you to be safe." I hang up the phone as I keep sitting in my car, placing my head on the steering wheel to try and keep my feelings in check, but it's no use. Tears fall down my face as I think about what just happened, and how much worse it will be when I finally come clean.

Allowing myself a few moments to get my emotions in control, I turn on the ignition in my car and start the 1 hour 30 minute drive to the safe house that I sent my family to. Its on the very outskirts of the glades in one of the furthest neighborhoods from the city, on the boarder into the next town over. On the way to the house, I stop by QC and meet John at the bottom, briefly explaining the Oliver situation before handing him the coffee, and continuing on my journey, scared for what my parents are going to say. If Oliver reacted this badly to finding out I have a brother, what is going to happen when he finds out I am a Stark? Throughout the entire car ride, the same thought flows through my brain:

What am I going to do when this all blows up in my face?
