Mirabel's POV
I let him back into this universe, I had to learn how to control my powers. I wasn't just going to let anyone else do the hard work again. He was shaking and it seemed like he was a bit tipsy, my eyes caught him tumbling to the ground. I quickly reached for him and I felt his sharp nails cut into my skin. I quickly healed it, but it still left a scar: guess only mama could heal this. I missed the fresh taste of her arepas and her warm hugs, but I knew I never truly meant anything to her.
She loved me, but she didn't like me.
He started looking at me curiously, shoot I should probably ask his name. "What's your name?" I questioned, his expression turned grim. "I don't have a name." he declared and he walked away from the scene. So much for a thank you, I guess I didn't need it. I'd be myself for now on, like always. I felt a slight tear drop from my eyes now, it was truly time to begin the seven-day challenge. Right as I was heading out, I found myself crashing into the guy once again. His princeful eyes looking straight at me with a sincere smile, "Call me Apollo" he said with a wink. We were going to do the seven-day challenge together, I didn't just want revenge on my family.
I wanted vengeance.
Bruno's POV
I felt Camilo tailing me non-stop, this kid wasn't going to leave me alone. I don't know why he looked up to me so much, I was just a socially anxious 50 year old. I was putting his life in danger in order to save the city, no one in their right mind would do that but then again... so am I. I really need to check up on this kid more, he seems like he's gone through a lot. "TIO BRUNO!! WHAT'S OUR NEXT MISSION?!" asked Camilo excitedly, I stopped myself from rolling my eyes. I simply walked on and ignored his question, sometimes the kid was way too much. We arrived at the old place in which I would make visions, I needed an old atmosphere in order to make the biggest prediction of my life.
I felt a green glow surround me, I held hands with Camilo and suddenly all the visions flew past me. This world was about to blow and this time I didn't know who would be the cause of it. Could another family have powers? All of these thoughts were racing through my head, I had to keep doing vision boards. I kept making them and the same conclusion had arrived, I couldn't share these with anyone. This would just make everyone else's lives harder, I had to shatter them like the day I did on Mirabel's ceremony. Not a single soul except me would see these again, but then I remembered Camilo was here staring at what had just happened.
"What's happening, Tio Bruno?" Camilo questioned with a serious expression on his face, I bit my lip. I hated explaining things like this, that's when I heard the first explosion of many. I guess the perpetrator hadn't waited long before the attacks. I rushed to the city with Camilo tailing me closely from the behind, I couldn't let him see this. "CAMILO, STAY BACK!" I screamed, he gave me a cold stare. "No." he declared, I guess I wasn't losing this kid. He'll probably have traumatic flashbacks for days about this, it reminds me of when Alma would take me out as a kid to perform dangerous tasks because I could technically predict the future. This was one of the reasons why I despised her and why I ran away in the first place. In fact I wouldn't even be here right now if it wasn't for Mirabel.
We raced at the speed of the light to the city and to our shock, only markings had been left. It was in ancient letterings that I couldn't comprehend, I would have to bring this home somehow. Camilo got out a tiny camera as if reading my mind from his pocket and snapped a photo of the ancient letterings. Yet there was one recognizable thing:
"7 days."
7 days... what could that mean? Could that be the time before the next attack? Could they know someone was tailing them and was just trying to throw them off track? There could be so many explanations available, I just would have to predict something once again. "Let's look for any other clues." I declared, Camilo nodded. We looked around the wreckage together, we couldn't risk splitting up. To both of our disappointments we had found nothing, I still wanted to keep on looking.
5 hours later...
It feels as if I've been walking inside of a loop for ages, I noticed Camilo's legs starting to shake. I was used to walking for hours due to the tasks Alma would make me and my siblings do, although I knew Camilo had it easier physically growing up. I went to go ask him to take a break, until I lost sight of him. "CAMILO!?" I bellowed, my voice getting louder. Was he gone?
CAMILO!
I screamed once again, no response.
CAMILOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
I screamed on top of my lungs and this time there was a response, Camilo had magically teleported to me. "We're stuck in a loop here, there's no way out." Camilo uttered, I felt my heart sink. That can't be possible, there has to be a way out... Was I the reason another child was lost? This was all my fault, I wasn't in denial. I knew we would probably be stuck here for the rest of our lives, but I had to make those last moments special. Since, we probably won't lost more than a day here alive anyways.
I hugged Camilo tightly and I felt his soft tears hit my body, this was the end of us.
Julieta's POV
I had finally been able to sleep after retrieving Antonio from the wreckage of the house, I felt at peace more than anything. Well as much as a mother could be after their daughter was missing, I'm hoping she just ran away. I would rather live with the hope that she would return rather than living with the harsh reality that I had lost two daughters that night. It was painful that Luisa was gone, she was gone all thanks to Alma. I put a framed photo of Luisa on the dinner table as Isabela came down, she rolled her eyes and groaned. Everything must be hard for her especially after her sisters' deaths. I heard someone knocking on the door and I reached to go get it, I opened it.
"Your husband is dead."
