A/N: A bit of a shorter chapter, but I just wanted to get something out! The next chapter will be longer.

Dolores' POV

I've lost my mind, searching for an answer. The clue to finding Camilo... and possibly Antonio. I smiled thinking about seeing hermanito, I always knew he was alive. "Stuck with this curse for life," I mumbled under my breath as I kicked at the light snow beneath my feet. "Don't say that Dolores! You know I'm here for you mi Amor," Mariano said with a big smile. I felt his big arms embrace me, and he suddenly stopped. "Sorry, can I hug you?" he asked, his expression suddenly serious. One of the reasons I fell in love with Mariano is because he has so much love inside of him and that he works within the boundaries of other people. Although learning to ask for consent is something that should be the bare minimum for everyone.

I kicked pebbles in the slightly chilly weather, I wonder how winter would be in a place like Canada. "Mariano," I said all of a sudden, he jumped in surprise. I listened for a quick second, but my vision blurred to something.

The colour red.

All of a sudden, I was falling through a void with chilling voices haunting the atmosphere. I couldn't tell if they were just faint whispers or if they were as loud as Alma screaming at Mirabel. Suddenly everything was green: my hair, my skin, my shoes, my clothes, and the sky. There was only one thing I knew that was associated with green: Bruno. Although who was associated with the colour red? My thoughts were buzzing like a bee, if only they could...

"STOP!"

The voice brought me back to reality, although I didn't see Mariano anymore. I was in a bar with unknown people, the loud noises drowning my thoughts away. A drink couldn't hurt. I walked towards a bar and bumped into a very drunk male. He had curly brown hair and dark green eyes, he looked at me with a smile. A smile I recognized immediately, but one that was unfamiliar at the same time.

Camilo's eyes had gotten darker and he had started to form eyebags. Luckily, I had seen no scars on my face, but I knew better than to assume what had been laid beneath his sleeves. I tried talking to him, but he couldn't see me. I touched myself only to realize I was a ghost? No that didn't seem right. I looked at the green light surrounding the area, where am I? When was this? I searched the area and found someone's phone on a counter. It was May, 27th, 2022. I sighed in relief, it was yesterday. I looked around the tinted memory for clues as to how to get out of here. Suddenly, I find Camilo's phone and I pick it up.

A door opens.

I enter it and suddenly I'm falling again, only this time there is no colour. I am in the present moment and then I hear a glass thrown onto the ground. My ears ring as the noise burns my ears.

CLACK!

At the scene, I recognize Camilo's drunken emerald eyes. Although the person walking toward him was someone who seemed familiar, I couldn't identify who it was. They had stunning hazel eyes and curly black hair. Almost like...

"RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!"

Suddenly, a demon enters the scene. It was a human with red eyes, ones that resembled the light I had seen earlier. This person reminded me of-

"MIRABEL MADRIGAL!"

Then, all of the puzzle pieces connected.

Mirabel's POV

I need to get out of here, now. I do not need to see Camilo right now especially after, everything that happened. Would he hate me? Suddenly, a large glass flew right past my ear. I looked behind me to see Alma. Is everyone coming back from the dead at this point? Suddenly, I feel a tap behind my back. There's only one person who taps like that...

Isabela.

Although, to my surprise, it wasn't Isabela. In fact, it wasn't anyone I would've imagined meeting after, that. "Mira, why are you so sad?" Antonio asked me with pleading eyes, my only weakness. The only person I cared about inside of this family. I needed to leave, I can't stay here any longer.

Concentrate, concentrate, concentrate.

Although, when I tried to teleport away from here. I couldn't, I felt powerless. The same powerless Mirabel could never stand up to her family. The same powerless Mirabel was bullied every single day of her life. The same powe-

My face gets sliced by a glass.

"Fight me, Mirabel Madrigal." Alma commanded, I wanted to rush at her. "What's someone as old as you going to do to me? Bore me to sleep..?" I questioned her with innocent looking eyes. I could master that look at any time. I calmed down my nerves for a bit, and then purple flames burst out of my body. Out of the corner of my eye, I had seen Dolores grab Camilo by his arms. The look of betrayal was evident in his eyes. I had to do this for myself, not my family. To my horror, Alma walked through the flames.

And she was left untouched.

She came charging with a knife and clashed with my wrists, the already existing cuts clouding my vision. Suddenly, my breathing became heavy. Everything was blurry and I felt myself being carried out of the bar by an unknown figure. As I struggled to open my eyes, I looked in the distance to see the bar in flames.

Antonio's in there.

"NO! STOP! MY PRIMO IS IN THERE. LET ME GO!" I screamed as I struggled to get out of the unknown person's arms. They held a tight grip on me and refused to speak, I kicked at them and my screams echoed. "Stop kicking, will you?" a male's voice answered, his voice was so deep and mature. I stopped kicking and looked at the beacon of alcohol stored inside his pocket, I stole it from his pocket. I drank it slowly, cherishing the burning in my throat. He gazed at me as if I was a hippopotamus inside a classroom. "How are you not dead?" he questioned, and I walked and leaned up to him. His height contrasted mine, and I kissed him. He looked taken aback and then held out his hand. "You're drunk, let's go home," he stated, knowing the rules of consent (the bare minimum to some readers out there). "C'mon, let's go to an amusement park!" I whined.

After, an hour of pestering. He agreed and carried me to the local amusement park. It looked a bit awkward, but I could tell he was near my age. He had jet-black hair and he was 6 feet tall, when we arrived the park was closed. Then, he suddenly opened the whole park and filled it with people. They looked almost like ghosts, wait were they? Eh, it didn't matter to me anyway!  "Let's go on the roller coaster!" I screamed, and he rolled his eyes. "You really are a handful," he uttered and I lightly slapped him on the cheek. We went on the roller coaster and had an amazing time, then we quickly rushed to the cotton candy machine. The machine wasn't operating. "I wonder why it isn't working," he questioned, so I kicked it. Then, all of the candy started spraying everywhere. I felt myself being hit by a couple of specks until it suddenly stopped. I opened my eyes to see him standing in front of me, covering me. Then, suddenly I pushed him away from being hit anymore. He smiled at me, "Maybe we should get popcorn instead" he suggested. "I've always liked popcorn better," I added.

5 hours later...

His POV

It had only been a few hours and I'd already fallen in love with her. The way her hazel eyes shine when she eats too much candy and the way she dances when she beats me at a game (which is 99% of the time). I wish this could last longer, I want to see her every single day. That's when I spotted our first suspect of the night.

Pedro Madrigal.
